Hey @grok considering the evidence in this thread, what is the % chance the shroud is authentic?
Another interesting topic 👇
Hey @grok why does the Vatican have the world’s largest pine cone sculpture?
Is it silly modern art or is there a deeper story?
An impossible forgery. An impossible reality.
Elaborate hoax or proof of the resurrection of Jesus?
We might finally know.
Let's examine the Shroud of Turin

Have you seen The Red Violin?
I love how old instruments carry deep histories that we may never know, and that we can hear the same voice they sang for generations gone.

France has given the world so much beauty.
I hope it never forgets that.

As the twig is bent, so grows the tree.
Five more minutes on your phone instead of doing something real with your kid or grandchild?
One more cigarette or sugary drink or fast food meal?
One more Sunday to sleep in instead of going to worship?
Your actions today decide your tomorrow. Stand up of make the needed change.
The leaning tower gets all the buzz but the baptistery and cathedral are remarkable, too
Pisa’s Baptistery, like a 3-tiered cake.
Each tier was designed in a different century and has a different style:
• Bottom tier: 12th c. - Tuscan Romanesque with round arches, small windows and minimal embellishments.
• Middle: 13th c. - A transition to Gothic in the understated loggia with slender columns.
• Top: 14th c. - Late Gothic. Sharp triangular gables and spiky stone pinnacles and statues. These sharp vertical points break up the horizontal line and ring around the base of the dome, creating a crown-like silhouette.

I hope it never forgets that.

The story of Noah's Ark is mocked

But now, in a remote corner of Turkey, science is telling a different story.
And it's one the faithful already knew. 🧵
The lion of Venice gnaws at the chains of Austrian occupation
On this day, October 19, 1866, Venice’s occupation by Austria (and France) officially ended.
This equestrian monument on Riva degli Schiavoni commemorates that event and Venice subsequently becoming part of Italy.
On one side, the Lion of Venice gnaws at its chains of Austrian occupation.
On the other side, a liberated Venice celebrates her freedom.
Two days later, the Venetian people voted to join Italy. Interestingly, inscribed on the pedestal are the results of that vote: 641,758 voted Yes, and 69 voted No.
On Sundays, we post churches.
