This is a different type of gaming account:
- I’ve traveled the world and had way too many experiences for my age, and point out things in games from those experiences
-I analyze games from a speedrun perspective, and hold a record in AC Black Flag
-I slowrun to analyze details and ambience in games no one else slows down in and have a 24/7 ambience stream and channel
- I’ve had huge metric wins on every platform at some point in time, and love exchanging ideas with other creators
- I work in corporate finance for a living and analyze the monetary and resource management systems in and around gaming
- I’m not afraid to state facts about games, and let them sit and make everyone including myself, uncomfortable
One of these things is likely why everyone reading this has followed, or will follow.
Most people I’ve connected with here have similarly unique gaming perspectives, so I’d love to hear some of yours below!
Just had a coworker message me with “Yo Master Assassin,” and that’s officially the easiest way to get me to fulfill your request right away (aside from bringing me an offering of food)
It’s actually crazy to think that it’s been 8 years and no one’s even tried to top what RDR2 accomplished for its rabid fanbase.
We’ll soon see if Rockstar is going to one-up themselves with GTA 6 since no one else is competing.
Happy 8th anniversary #RedDeadRedemption2!
It’s been a quick 8 years and still to this day holds up insanely well. This game is basically why I started my page in 2018.
The greatest game of all time IMO.
If the gaming industry wants to combat the issue of everyone using Steam-only user count, metacritic reviews, and layoffs as the only data points for whether a game is doing well…
They’re going to need to give more data to the public.
Your move, gaming companies.
What’s a game you consider “okay?”
I actually had to think about this for a while. We love extremes for a reason…they’re certainly more memorable
Some okay games for me are Silent Hill 2 (remake) and Journey
Someone tried to bypass the Finance dept by going to a systems manager to request an item add at an absurdly low price
The manager noticed how bad the margin was and reached out to me…
Now I’ve increased all prices for that product type at that location😂
Happy Monday, folks!
Buy the things you want, or watch them made for those who'll pay…
If capitalism didn’t create and kill games, who do they think would…
Games would serve the government.
If this isn’t the most American Productivity purchase ever made, I don’t know what is🇺🇸
Anyone else MAKING MONEY TODAY??
MURICA
There’s nuance to Private Equity I’ve never seen anyone in gaming mention…
People love to purport that it kills everything, but there are pros/cons
PE is a beast at fixing operational failures, aka bloated companies, aka what most complaints in the gaming industry are about
Hm it’s been a while since I’ve heard “No Disc No Buy”…
Did the activists finally move on to a new virtue signal mobstrosity?
There was a hate campaign this week with people being upset Assassin’s Creed Resynced not having any updates, starting with New Game+…
(I personally don’t care. I was going to speedrun it in the original state)
My question: will gamers even notice, or was it empty complaints?
Most blame the original visionaries behind BioWare leaving to be the reason it went under…
Makes me wonder how many gaming companies have any original visionaries and if this really makes the value of a gaming company. Lots to unpack here.
Thoughts?
@grok summarize the responses and their frequency on this post
Post launch support wasn’t a thing when I was growing up. The game was the game, no online, no patches.
I prefer it that way. One experience we all have and can go back to.
Am I the only gamer who doesn’t expect anything?
I’m surprisingly not taking the day off for GTA 6…
I figure I’ll start in the evening and play all weekend and Thanksgiving, and be a bit behind everyone so people can watch and not be spoiled.
Who’s taking off for it??
