The election in Nevada is about one choice: Nevada or East California? Low taxes, freedom, and limited government—or high taxes, reckless spending, out-of-control crime, and the failed nanny-state policies that so many Nevadans fled California to escape.

Major implications here for @JoeLombardoNV and other Rs running statewide. Rs won Election Day in 2022 by ~48K voters. If they do that again (and NV has 11% more voters in 2026 than 2022), Rs will wipe away the 42.4K voter advantage that Ds amassed during early voting. Now, Ds should win mail ballots that are dropped off at voting sites. But these numbers suggest Ds can't count on a 10K-20K+ mail ballot surge coming in on Wednesday and Thursday. At this pace, Rs might win late arriving mail (!!). Lombardo still needs a strong turnout tomorrow among high-propensity GOP voters. There are plenty of those voters remaining, while these numbers suggest signs that D voters changed behavior and put their ballots in the mail earlier than in past years.

Night before Election Day Nevada early vote analysis: Nevada only had mail ballots today. In a major break from past years, Rs were +800 on the day. Since early voting began this is the only day Rs won mail ballots. Rs are behind 42.4K voters heading into Election Day.

Governor Lombardo is pushing the Western Gateway Project to cut Nevada’s reliance on California refineries by sourcing fuel directly from Texas and the Mid-Continent. The Western Gateway Pipeline project is currently targeted to go into service in mid-2029.  Key milestones and status highlights for the project include: Key Approvals: In August 2026, the primary partners—Phillips 66, Kinder Morgan, and HF Sinclair—reached a final investment decision (FID) to move forward with the project after completing a successful open season earlier in the year. How It Works: The infrastructure involves building a new pipeline from Borger, Texas to Phoenix, Arizona, while reversing several existing interstate pipelines (including the Gold Pipeline and Kinder Morgan’s SFPP line) to send Midwest and Gulf Coast fuel westbound. This fuel will then tie directly into Las Vegas via the existing CalNev pipeline system.  Current Phase: The project is in the engineering, permitting, and environmental review phase, with construction expected to proceed over the coming years to meet the 2029 target. Clark, NV has 77k GOP REGULARS still unrecorded, vs 60k Dem regulars. Plenty of fuel for Tuesday. But in '24, half the remaining Dem regulars voted on Election Day, vs 30% in '22. The GOP needs its regulars to show up without a matching Dem comeback.
