All because he repeated public reports about President Lee while speaking in Washington, D.C. last year. They have held him with an exit ban for months, even blocking him from his own grandmother’s funeral. This is an ally prosecuting an American for speech made on American soil. It is ridiculous and should not be happening. Washington needs to step in and make Lee Jae-myung pay.

What’s left to count🇧🇷 With ~72% of sections in, Lula holds a slim lead. The biggest remaining chunks are in São Paulo (~44% left) and Rio de Janeiro (~78% left), both places where Flávio is ahead in the partials so far. Northeast states still have some votes out, but the large Southeast states dominate what’s left.

🇧🇷Watching Brazil’s runoff right now and the pattern is impossible to ignore. Flávio Bolsonaro took the first round cleanly, the race was a dead heat going into today, and then Lula’s old personal lawyer Cristiano Zanin stepped in minutes after the scheduled close and ordered a nationwide two-hour extension of voting. The excuse was scattered bus problems in a handful of cities, yet the order covered the whole country and kept stations open in places where Flávio’s voters had already finished. Partial counts have been flipping back and forth while the electronic machines keep doing what they always do under pressure from the same institutional machine that has protected Lula for years. This is not a normal election. It is a last-second judicial override designed to keep the left in power, and no serious observer should treat the final tally as legitimate if it rests on this kind of maneuver.

Supreme Court Justice Zanin (Lula’s guy) ordered a nationwide 2-hour voting extension at the last minute over transport complaints from Lula’s campaign. Result: no new totals while voting stays open. If a conservative were in power and the count froze after early numbers favored him, the media and courts would be calling it an attempted coup before the second hour was up.
