I feel I need to clarify my position: I am not saying that I think the concept of extension and enrichment in maths (or any subject) is necessarily a good thing.

I’m wondering if teachers talk about “enrichment” or “extension” in school subjects other than maths. Like, is there such a thing as “English extension activities”?

This is an interesting question:
f(x) is a cubic polynomial, and g(x) is a quartic polynomial.
They can have up to 5 turning points and up to 3 inflection points between them.
Are all numbers up to 5 and 3 possible? For those that are possible, how?

Thanks to the Maths Assoc SA for the high quality pd work they do for schools and teachers right across our state. For the last two years we have funded MASA to expand their work in regional and remote communities. It was great to hear about the positive impacts they’re having!

#MASA2019 Although I’m no fan of mnemonics, I am surprised that this one gor unit circle is called SA Tennis Club in SA. (Neither clockwise nor anticlockwise). In W.A., often “All Stations to Claremont”. What do others use?
