A year ago, Murray County left Macon Coliseum in heartbreak, finishing one win shy of the 2A championship.
Today, the @MCLadyIndians are bringing home their first state title since 1965!!! Murray County rallies in the fourth to top Hardaway, 51-48.

The Ledford sisters for Murray County were special in tonight’s win setting up a State Championship rematch against Hardaway.
2026 Callan Ledford finished with 27p 6r 2a 6s 1b and showed off a complete skillset both offensively and defensively.
2028 Blaklee Ledford was impressive in her own right with 18p 4a 3r 5s 1b. Physical guard who makes a ton of good decisions with the ball & hustles for loose balls
The 2028 duo of Aspen Powers & Hadley Dotson did a lot of the dirty work for Murray County as Powers finished with 5p 8r 3a 4s & Dotson finished with 4p 3a 4r 2s.

🚨North Georgia Report Girls Player of the Week🚨
Murray County Callan Ledford @callanledford12 continues to be a steady force and one of the most reliable players in North Georgia. She plays with great pace, makes smart decisions with the ball, and consistently impacts winning on both ends of the floor.
Callan scores efficiently, competes defensively, and shows a strong understanding of the game. Her toughness, IQ, and ability to make plays in key moments separate her and make her a coach’s dream.
A complete player who does all the little things and does them well.
Congrats to Callan Ledford on earning this week’s North Georgia Report Girls Player of the Week! 🏀

End of Regulation
@HebronGBB - 68
@MCLadyIndians - 54
Hebron closed out the game with a strong performance, securing the win by a double digits. They played the fourth quarter with incredible effort, moving the ball well, hitting key shots, and crashing the boards on both ends. Murray County fought, but just like the previous quarter's Hebron’s intensity and execution throughout the game proved too much to overcome which gave them the fuel they needed to get the win.

End Q3
@HebronGBB - 51
@MCLadyIndians - 42
Hebron responded by fighting back and taking control on the offensive end. They played in motion, kicking the ball out for open shots while also feeding it inside to take advantage of their size. Murray County continued to battle also scoring inside and playing hard, but Hebron’s offensive execution made the difference. Hebron heads into the 4th with a nine point lead.
