There can be no credible climate strategy without the ocean.
Today, I was pleased to welcome leaders and partners from across the climate and ocean community, including Senator @JohnKerry, for an important conversation on the road to #COP31.
Our 56 member countries steward around a third of the ocean under national jurisdiction, giving us both a responsibility and an opportunity to lead.
We know that a healthy ocean is essential to tackling climate change. Our task now is to turn ambition into action.
Happy Father’s Day to my dad. If you are fortunate enough to still have your father in this world, prioritize spending as much time with him as you can. #FathersDay

The ocean absorbs 90% of excess heat from greenhouse gases, making waters warmer and more acidic, with coastal communities paying the price. How do we drive the ocean-climate action they need?
