State officials stated there was “no evidence at this time that any elections were swayed.” Other states demanded evidence from DHS, and received limited evidence — not the full original claimed lists or complete supporting data. California Secretary of State Shirley Weber asked for the underlying data and methodology behind the 190,000 figure DHS claimed; reporting indicates evidence was not fully provided. In October 2026, DOJ/DHS delivered a list of more than 20,000 names. Fast below the original 190,000 claim. Pennsylvania State officials (including Secretary of State Al Schmidt) had discussions with DHS. Reporting indicates DHS expressed lower confidence in the 14,576 claim.
