Karachi: Attended inaugural ceremony of the two-day international conference, “Reimagining Society in the 21st Century: Technology, Innovation and Sustainable Transformation,” held at the Chinese Teachers Memorial Auditorium, University of Karachi. The conference was organized by the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences,Karachi University. Speakers delivered lectures and speeches on mutual respect, equality, compassion and human welfare were essential for building an ideal society. The needs to align the education system with contemporary demands amid rapid technological changes and the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) and social media were also highlighted. Jamshoro; The 4th Senate meeting of Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro University of Art, Design and Heritages, held at the Senate Hall of University. The meeting was attended by University VC Prof. Arbella Bhutto, MPA Malik Sikandar Khan, Hameer Soomro, HEC Rep. Sulaiman Ahmed, AS U&B Ameer Awesi and other members of Syndicate and Senate. Also Inaugurated the Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro Museum and Solar Power Plant.

The brave and fearless followers, workers and brothers of great and valiant Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, sacrificed their lives for a great cause, they became history but made a history, they added a new and unprecedented chapter of bravery and heroism to the political history of loyalty, sacrifice and commitment. Karachi, Oct 12; Government of Sindh Signs Landmark Agreement with NADRA for Digital Integration of All 7 Educational Boards of Sindh. The Government of Sindh has signed a landmark agreement with NADRA under the Academic Record Integration Project, becoming the first province in Pakistan to initiate digital integration of all its educational boards with NADRA’s secure system. The signing ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister for U&B Mr. M. Ismail Rahoo, Secretary U&B Mr. M Abbas Baloch, D G NADRA Mr. Amir Ali Khan, and chairpersons of all educational boards in Sindh. The initiative marks a significant step towards digital transformation, transparency, academic integrity, and improved governance in Sindh’s education sector.

Hyderabad; 59th Convocation of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) More than 150 qualified Fellows and medical specialists were awarded their degrees. Senator Amir Waliuddin Chishti, President CPSP Prof. M Shoaib Shafi, and other distinguished dignitaries attended the ceremony. The health services of the Sindh Govt were widely appreciated, while the contribution of CPSP towards producing highly qualified medical specialists was also acknowledged.

Rich tributes were paid to Khan Bahadur Hassan Ally Effendi, for the services he rendered in the field of education.

Karachi, Aug 27: Held a meeting with the Chairmen of all Educational Boards to review the implementation of the Recruitment Rules 2026, Provincial Seniority Lists, and Urgent Staffing Requirements, particularly the need for IT professionals to support digital examinations. The meeting also addressed fire safety compliance and forensic audit matters. All Boards were directed to ensure the timely implementation of decisions in accordance with the rules and policy. The performance of all Boards in successfully conducting the Annual Examinations 2026, ensuring the transparency and timely declaration of results was much appreciated.

Career Connect Networking Lab will provide access and opportunities to students with jobs, internships, scholarships, training and career counselling, while the Networking Lab will strengthen hands-on learning in contemporary IT and networking technologies. Sukkur; Inaugurated the state-of-the-art Central Library at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur, designed to foster modern learning, research, and innovation. The library features 5,000 plus books, a dedicated Research & Development Centre, discussion rooms, SAP Koha library management system, RFID-enabled security and self check-in/out, digital scanning facilities, high-speed Wi-Fi, millions of e-resources, a digital library with iPads and computers, modern reading halls for 400 students. With a fully air-conditioned environment and 24/7 CCTV surveillance, the facility provides students and researchers with a secure, modern, and technology-enabled space for learning and discovery.

Karachi: The 9th Senate Meeting of Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), Karachi, was held. The Senate reviewed the university's surplus budget, annual performance indicators, and measures aimed at improving financial sustainability, including the planned solarization of all JSMU campuses. The Senate considered and approved agenda items pertaining to the University's academic, administrative, and financial matters.
