Seeing Wildwood!

Reading my writing aloud is one of the best ways to catch clunky sentences, accidental rhymes, and redundancies in word choice. It's also a great strategy when I'm in dev edits and I've read the book a thousand times. It helps me focus. It's time intensive, but worth it!

I have lost 40.8 pounds since after my book tour ended in April. I'm feeling great! Still want to drop another 20 pounds. But I'm getting there.

First day of FanX and the local bookseller, Aaron Cance, personally introduced me to Brandon Sanderson. I've been an enormous fan of Sanderson's work for many years, so it was a real honor signing and gifting him a copy of SKY'S END.

Today marks the beginning of my third straight guest author attendance at FanX in Salt Lake. I'm so excited to meet my readers, sign their books, hand out early copies of BTG, and find new readers, too!

Heads up! My signing at FanX on Friday has been moved from 4pm to 6pm. You're certainly welcome to show up at 4 and wait at the booth for two hours until I arrive, but you might want to change your schedule if you're planning to come see me. 🤣

I just turned BRIGHT SKY back in to my publisher after completing dev edits. I got the notes on July 15th, and I worked on it almost every day. I went through four drafts to hammer this book into shape. Can't wait to see what people think. Now, I'm going to Disneyland!
