Amin Ya Allah 🤲 Jazakallahu Khairan, Baba Imam ❤️
Pages of the Glorious Qur’ān today Thursday 29/10/26, Sūrah Fātir (35): 39-46 and Yāsin (36): 1-12, tafakkur verse 35: 45 Theme: Allah’s forbearance is an opportunity for repentance, not a licence to sin وَلَوۡ یُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَىٰ ظَهۡرِهَا مِن دَاۤبَّةࣲ وَلَـٰكِن یُؤَخِّرُهُمۡ إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّىۖ فَإِذَا جَاۤءَ أَجَلُهُمۡ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ بَصِیرَۢا "And if Allāh were to impose blame on the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon it [i.e., the earth] any creature. But He defers them for a specified term. And when their time comes, then indeed Allāh has ever been, of His servants, Seeing." LESSONS: 1. This verse reveals the immeasurable mercy, patience and perfect justice of Allah. If Allah were to punish humanity immediately for every sin, transgression and act of disobedience, the earth would not sustain its inhabitants. Yet, out of His mercy, He grants people time, postpones punishment and allows opportunities for repentance and reform. 2. The fact that punishment does not immediately follow wrongdoing does not mean that Allah is unaware, indifferent or pleased with what people do. Rather, His forbearance is part of His divine wisdom. He knows what we do, what we conceal and what we intend, even when our actions escape the attention of other people. 3. How often do people mistake Allah’s patience for approval? How often do the unjust become more arrogant because their injustice has not yet been met with consequences? How often do wrongdoers imagine that their apparent success is proof that they will never be held accountable? 4. This verse reminds us that delayed accountability is not the same as the absence of accountability. Every opportunity to live is an opportunity to repent, correct our mistakes, restore people's rights and return sincerely to Allah. 5. It also teaches us humility. None of us should be so confident in our righteousness that we forget our own shortcomings, nor should we become so comfortable with sin that we presume upon Allah’s mercy. Let us ask ourselves: * Am I using the time Allah has given me to become a better person? * Have I mistaken my present comfort for proof that my actions are acceptable? * Is there someone whose rights I have violated and to whom I need to make amends? * Do I extend to others some of the patience and mercy for which I hope Allah will treat me? The wise person does not wait for punishment before turning back to Allah. The wise person recognises the opportunity hidden within the delay and uses it to make things right. O Allah, we ask You for Your mercy and forgiveness, and we seek refuge in You from Your anger and punishment. Grant us sincere repentance, humble hearts, righteous deeds and a blessed end. Do not allow us to be deceived by Your forbearance or become heedless of our accountability before You. Help us to correct our wrongs, restore the rights of those we have wronged and use the time You have granted us in ways that please You. Āmīn.

This is the way to go! Kudos to the FG. 👏 Rather than waiting for infectious diseases to spread before reacting, the Federal Government is investing in systems designed to detect and contain potential threats early. The project comes with a hefty price tag of ₦45.08 billion, but its public-private partnership model means the cost is not necessarily paid upfront as a single lump sum. The BioHealth Consortium is expected to manage the system over 20 years. The five priority airports are Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Kano. Prevention is better than cure, and early detection can save lives.

From Stability to Opportunity: Reflections on Nigeria’s Engagement with Asia “I also participated in the IMF’s How Central Banks Decide session, moderated by Dan Katz, First Deputy Managing Director of the IMF. The discussion reinforced an important lesson from our own reform experience: sound monetary policy decisions must be accompanied by transparency, effective communication and consistent implementation if they are to build lasting confidence. Alongside the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, we also engaged IMF and World Bank leadership and international credit rating agencies on Nigeria’s economic outlook and reform priorities. Our engagements with China brought these conversations into sharper practical focus. Following my discussion with Governor Pan Gongsheng of the People’s Bank of China in Bangkok, our delegation continued the dialogue with the PBoC in Beijing on cross-border payments, settlement arrangements and financial innovation. I also met with the Chairman and senior leadership of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). Financial flows between our countries remain heavily concentrated in one direction, and our focus at the CBN is on strengthening financial connectivity and creating the conditions for greater two-way flows.” — Olayemi Cardoso (@olayemicardoso1) is the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (@cenbank) @Dattijo Read More👇🏼 dailyconcordnews.com/2026/10…

Today, I welcomed Mr. Christophe Lecourtier, Chief Executive Officer of the French Development Agency (AFD Group), to Lagos House, Marina, where we spoke about our longstanding partnership and opportunities to deepen our collaboration. AFD has been an important partner in improving transportation in Lagos. Alongside the European Investment Bank (EIB) and other development partners, we are making progress on the OMI-EKO project, which will expand our waterways network and introduce modern electric ferries. By connecting water transport with our rail and road networks, we are working to reduce travel times, ease traffic congestion and give Lagosians more reliable and cleaner ways to get around the state. I appreciate AFD’s continued confidence in Lagos and its dedication to our development. We have achieved a great deal together and I look forward to strengthening this relationship as we work to build a transport system that better serves our growing population.

Ifeanyi Ossai; Deputy National Chairman, APC (South); Speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uchenna Ugwu; Chairman of the party in the state, Dr. Martin Chukwunweike; and the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, are Vice Chairmen. It is also headlined by an Advisory Council comprising former President of the Senate, Ken Nnamani; former governor of old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo; former military governor of old Anambra State and Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Allison Madueke (Rtd.); former Minister of Power, Prof. Barth Nnaji; former Minister of Information and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2023 governorship election in the state, Mr. Frank Nweke Jr.; business mogul, Prince Arthur Eze; Senator Chuka Utazi; and former deputy governors Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo, Bishop Ralph Nwoye, Dr. Sunday Onyebuchi, and Chief Okechukwu Itanyi, among other high-profile personalities. Chief Charlie Mbah is the Director-General, while Dr. Eric Oluedo will serve as the Secretary-General. Senator Osita Ngwu, Senator Ikeje Asogwa, and Senator Kelvin Chukwu are Coordinators of the Campaign Council in Enugu West, Enugu North, and Enugu East, respectively. Speaking at the event, which took place at the International Conference Centre, Enugu, Mbah said his administration had justified the mandate handed to him in 2023, while President Bola Tinubu’s bold reforms had greatly stabilised the macroeconomic indicators while also making funds available for the administration to embark on impactful projects across the state on a large scale. He, therefore, urged party faithful to campaign hard on the administration’s achievements and be unapologetically APC in doing so, saying the opposition had nothing but propaganda to offer. The governor said he was gearing up to campaign in each of the 68 Development Centres and also commission at least two projects in each of the 260 political wards in the state. Mbah recalled that the 2026 Phillips Consulting State Performance Momentum Index ranked Enugu as the fastest-improving state, having recorded a Momentum Score of +1.15, the highest by any of the 33 states assessed. He noted that, in terms of Ease of Doing Business, the state, under his leadership, had leaped from 36th out of 37 subnationals in 2023 to sixth position nationally in 2025, according to the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) report. “So, you should be proud of Enugu. You should be unapologetically APC. I am really excited because we are going to go to all the 68 Development Centres. I will personally visit all the Development Centres. I will go to the markets with you. “The people of Enugu cannot wait to see us. They are so excited. And as I go, I will also take time to go to every ward to commission both the Smart Green School and the Primary Healthcare Centre. “As I go to every ward and Development Centre, I will commission all projects without exception, the Smart Green Schools and the Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres in all the wards where they are cutting the ribbon. And so, it is indeed my honour and privilege to formally inaugurate this APC Enugu State Campaign Council,” he stated. Mbah, however, reminded them that all the achievements – at Enugu, Nigeria

Snakes come out a lot this heat period. Cover up cracks, check your WC before using or flush it before using. Avoid rodents; they are food for snakes. Bathroom outlets should be covered with nets.
I know the snake story is scary and is keeping y’all on your toes. Avoid rodents: rat, mouse and even eggs Scorpion is more likely to be encountered this hot weather season. Camphor can be used in strategic areas to repel and also cleanliness and clearing of junks Is vital •For killing scorpions, methods such as diatomaceous earth (natural), specialized insect sprays (e.g., Raid), or essential oils like lavender and cedar are generally more effective. • Controlling scorpions is best achieved by combining repellents with sealing cracks, reducing moisture, and removing clutter.
