But there's something real in it. The people founders fight to hire are usually the ones who already act like owners: shipping side projects, cold emailing customers, fixing things nobody asked them to fix.

Honestly though, most of the founders I meet don't need $100M. They need their first 10 customers, a sharp story, and someone who'll pick up the phone at 11pm when the round is wobbling.
A giant check can buy runway. It can't buy you a customer who actually pays. I'd rather help with the second one.
