Coming up with boss ideas/designs is both the most stressful and rewarding thing at the same time. I'll go weeks trying to figure out what to do, and then when I've got like a week or less left before a deadline, my brain will finally come up with something I actually like

This is the issue with greater levels of realism. You have to fill in all the gaps your imagination previously filled in, otherwise it falls apart. This is why HD remakes often feel 'off', your brain expects everything to be at the same level of fidelity and it usually isn't.

BlastFX 2.0 is on Steam and Itch now! It's currently 25% off for the re-launch, and there's a demo if you want to try it first. I actually used this tool to create several of the effects in Ex-Zodiac, so it's pretty useful! Re-tweets much appreciated 🙂
