October is National Physical Therapy Month! This month is designed to raise awareness of the benefits of PT as well as recognize and appreciate all the great work PTs, PTAs and students do for so many people. NPTM began in Oct. 1992 - making this the 30th year of celebrating PT!

The minute “non-compliant” enters the chart, it becomes nearly impossible to remove it. And it WILL affect the quality of care they receive from that point on.

Pt prescribed a med- on follow-up, is not taking it.
Wrong: "Pt is noncompliant."
Right: "Pt unable to take med because __. We discussed strategies including __."
Don't start chart rumors - understanding problems >>>>> labeling patients.
