On the anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar,we remember Gibraltar's place in this defining moment in Royal Navy history.HMS Victory later arrived in Rosia Bay carrying the body of Admiral Lord Nelson, forever linking the Rock to one of Britain's most celebrated naval victories.
#OTD in 1805, the Royal Navy defeated the combined forces of France and Spain at Trafalgar.
The tactical brilliance, professionalism, technology and training which underpinned Adm Lord Nelson’s stunning victory have driven and shaped the Navy ever since.
