A3 Debt is often uncomfortable for people to talk about because there is often judgment or shame attached
Financial goals are also something people don’t talk about…. everyone has different priorities, and sharing yours can sometimes feel like putting yourself out there for judgement
Talking openly with trusted people can help you building a life filled with JOY and aligned with your values.
Opening up to those who can help you on your money journey can bring JOY to your the journey

A4 Financial taboos can leave people unprepared when it comes to managing money
When topics like debt, saving, or investing are "off-limits," kids miss out on crucial opportunities to learn
And it stops them feeling like they can have those conversations continuing the taboo cycle
Having these conversations could set them up for financial confidence and JOY down the road
To break these taboos, we need to start talking about money from an early age—
When my boys were little they had a piggy bank with slots that side invest, spend, charity
Showing children the value of saving for vacations or big dream, or even discussing big financial decisions together as a family.
As I mentioned in my book “Financial Planning Made Personal” it is also important to have conversation EARLY on about how much college tuition costs
The more we normalize these conversations, the more we empowered our children be to make smart money choices while they enJOY the journey!

A4: Young people need to hear their parents talk about money. I first started talking to my kids about it at the grocery store. I pointed out how much their favorite Cheerios cost, LOL. Kids respond to real-life examples. #CreditChat
