My advice to people dating people with BPD is that you have to stop viewing their episodes, moods, and emotions as representations of their souls and start viewing them the same way you view bad weather
personally our brain literally just cannot fuse and part of integration is parts just disappearing when they aren't needed. sometimes healing involves and looks like dormancy instead of 5 guys turning into 1 and I think it'd be great if people knew that too

Communication, sharing memories, helping alters trapped in the past get up to speed, fusion, those are all integration. The most common path in therapy is to pursue the lowering of dissociative barriers so the system can work better together in whatever form that comes
