I don't really have any animosity toward actors and comedians for having stupid politics. One's job is literally to pretend to be people they aren't, and the other's is to reverse engineer what makes people laugh.
Neither of those things, no matter how well executed, suggest any insight into good politics or socioeconomics.
I like a good stand-up routine as much as anyone else, but I think there's this myth around comedians having great insight into the human condition, which is almost never deserved.
People like Louis *observe* the human condition, but his actual job is to make people laugh about it. He and every other stand up will refine a routine dozens or hundreds of times to maximize the laughs, not to maximize the truth or the wisdom.
