🇸🇰 This week, Renew Europe travels to Bratislava to support Progressive Slovakia and its leader Michal Šimečka, whose courage and vision I deeply value. While Prime Minister Fico undermines democracy and damages Slovakia’s competitiveness, Progressive Slovakia remains the only force driving smart economic growth and defending European values. Europe needs builders, not Putin-style sabotage.

Vztahy mezi Českem a Slovenskem jsou na výborné úrovni. V Kramářově vile jsem přivítal @MSimecka, se kterým se shodujeme v otázkách zahraniční politiky, víme, kdo je agresor a kdo je oběť a taky víme, komu je nutné pomáhat. Shodli jsme se také na tom, že naše země mají řadu společných zájmů a projektů, například v energetice, nebo dopravní infrastruktuře. Je v zájmu nás všech, aby Češi a Slováci spolupracovali a rozvíjeli vzájemné vztahy. 🇨🇿🇸🇰

Dnes sme sa stretli s tromi desiatkami veľvyslancov/kýň a ďalších diplomatov. Osobne som im poďakovala za ich dlhodobú podporu a spoluprácu v otázkach rovnosti. Cením si, že sme na tejto ceste spoločne s našimi kľúčovými partnermi z EÚ, USA, či ďalších krajín. @MSimecka @valasekt

Almost a year ago, 🇸🇰 was a first country to donate air-def. system (S-300) to #Ukraine. Today, 🇸🇰 govt. approved sending 13 MiG-29 fighter #jets (+ additional air-def. assets), being among first to provide this critical capability for 🇺🇦 to defend herself against 🇷🇺 aggression.

In the wake of the earthquake in #Turkey this morning, we have activated the #EUCivilProtectionMechanism. The EU's Emergency Response Coordination Centre is coordinating the deployment of rescue teams from Europe. Teams from the #Netherlands & #Romania are already on their way.
