The amount of people self harming in the UK went from 2.4% in the year 2000 to 10.3% in 2023. Not only is it rising for everyone but a whopping 60% of people with Tourette's self harm. I'm was one of those people.
It's mostly met with disgust or judgment. Many studies link tourettes and SH but none seem to be covering the root cause. The studies say "little is known about its aetiology." I stopped over 10 years ago. I have lot to say about the cause and how to stop but I can't get the info out there because any coverage of SH is banned on most platforms. I'm desperate to help people recover from this like I did, I have millions of followers on tiktok, YT, and twitch but I can't tell a soul it's so frustrating.

It’s shocking, it’s disheartening, it’s insulting - most importantly - it’s a wake up call.
