Older residents deserve services they can depend on. Accessible healthcare, reliable municipal services and social assistance all contribute to older people’s dignity and independence. Communities can raise concerns through public meetings and municipal reporting channels, track commitments and seek answers when essential services fall short.

“There are lots of job opportunities, in highlight pf the Minister’s Budget Speech. Instead of tarred roads, let us pave our roads because they have a longer life. We have to think outside of the box and learn from the past”
📍Lejweleputswa, Free State.
Roads connect people to jobs, schools, healthcare and economic opportunities. Across our cities, investment in road rehabilitation, public lighting, pedestrian infrastructure and electricity networks is helping improve the places where people live and work. In Johannesburg, more than 140 kilometres of roads were rehabilitated, while Nelson Mandela Bay tarred 7.1 kilometres of gravel roads and repaired 23,565 potholes. Every improvement helps build safer, more connected communities.
Better roads. Stronger connections. Communities that move forward.
