Forgot about twitter but found my way back to ask an important question: Does anyone out there know when the first written account was published about the subterranean ghost of the Royal Mile, Edinburgh? In the oral histories and folklore the ghost is either a drummer or a piper

Scottish art historians — please help! I’m trying to find the artist behind this art — I know she was active in Scotland in 1940-60s, designed sets for Christine Orr’s play ‘Pearl for James’, & exhibited at the Scottish Society of Women Artists in 1966, but I don’t know her name!
