Absolute dribble from Labor as usual.
Labor are allegedly so concerned about the safety of Australians,..that they facilitated the return to Australia of some of the most vile Islamic terrorists ever spawned.
Spare us the theatrics and lies Gorman.
“Put simply, I am here to fight for the Australian people, not fight with them.
Like any workplace, everyone should go home safe every day.
Therefore, we must not leave communities behind and only focus on politicians.
I aspire for every Australian to be safe.
Safe at work. Safe in their homes. Safe in Northbridge. Safe at places of worship. And safe doing politics.
Attacks on our democracy attack us all.
I believe the best way to make our democracy safe is to make our community safe.
I refuse to accept that violent people get to coerce Australia’s democracy.
Coercion that makes people fearful to volunteer. To scare people from putting their hand up.
This week we draw a line, saying that the violence, the hateful notes delivered to our homes, intimidation of staff and volunteers, written abuse and worse must stop.
Because we must not allow this attack to define who we are as a nation.
And we can’t ignore that the overwhelming majority of our nation are kind, compassionate and caring.
I encourage Australians to shine a light of positivity. Celebrate the good in our democracy, including the ability to disagree well.
Of course tell your politicians when we get it wrong, but also tell us when we get it right.”

Anthony Albanese praised Helen Haines as a beacon of light while his office prepared a document questioning her integrity, but his explanation for a $6m golf club grant raises questions of its own,

I asked Grok if the AFP Commission should get involved in politics or act as an ALP spokesperson….. 🧐
Answer: ✅ She should stay well clear of politics.
The AFP Commissioner is not a political appointee who speaks for the ALP (or any party).
Krissy Barrett is the current Australian Federal Police Commissioner (the first woman in the role), appointed in 2025 on the recommendation of the Albanese Labor government after Reece Kershaw’s early retirement.
The role is a statutory, operational one: the Commissioner controls the general administration of the force and its investigations. The AFP reports to the relevant minister but is expected to operate independently of partisan politics.
Why she must remain apolitical
• Independence is core to the job. Police leadership, especially a federal force handling national security, counter-terrorism, organised crime, and threats to parliamentarians, requires public trust that decisions are based on law, evidence, and operational priorities—not the interests of the government that appointed her. Ministers have no power to direct which matters the AFP investigates.
• Speaking “on behalf of the ALP” would undermine that.
In short, the Commissioner’s job is to enforce the law and protect Australians impartially. She should not function as a spokesperson for the ALP, and the government of the day should not treat her as one. Public confidence depends on that separation.
🚨FYI - I am confused about the appointee part, as Albo appointed her.

This is outrageous. There is no indication or suggestion whatsoever that One Nation's cartoons had the SLIGHTEST impact on what happened last week.
If anything, we should be talking about drug use, mental health, and a failure of policing to handle repeated community concerns about dangerous individuals.
Another attempt to deflect public attention from actual system failures and blame a politically inconvenient cartoon that POINTS OUT THESE FAILURES.
This attack on satire must stop.

IMO that is RACISM and makes things worse
Replying to @GrumpyOLSoldier
And yet Hanson is calling you inferior and primitive - you just roll over and say it's not RACISM.. Are you OK?
Shouldn’t this be a treasonous charge @AlboMP @Tony_Burke

Us GenXers and millennials as kids, watched what today's sooks, describe as "violent" cartoons.
If cartoons are the problem, shouldn't we be running riot day in and day out causing absolute havoc everywhere we go?
These people are pathetic
Here is the retarded @AusFedPolice Commissioner, Krissy Barrett, linking cartoons to real life events.
