SHE DIED WAITING Heather Earley, mother of three, has died waiting for her money. @PostOffice kept her waiting so long she ran out of time. Impressive logistics. Lawyer @SimonMGoldberg (well worth to give him a follow) shared the sad news today. Heather Earley was one of 555 postmasters who took the Post Office to the High Court and won, and she died before getting her redress, the money owed to put her life back together. He points to a @BBCNews article from 2024 on victims who died before getting redress. Winning in court and never seeing the money is a rare talent. Heather Earley was a mother of three who ran a local shop with a Post Office counter in Mossley, Newtownabbey, in Northern Ireland. In December 2013 the Horizon computer system said she was £10,000 short. A computer said so, and in the Post Office computers are never wrong.. She says one customer kept using a flaw in the system. Every time that customer withdrew £100, the system added £100 to the balance instead of taking it off. I wish my bank worked like that. Heather Earley called the police, and the customer was prosecuted and convicted. That put the blame on the customer, and the Post Office still demanded the £10,000 from her, took money from her wages and refused to give it back even after the conviction. Crime solved, victim billed ... She borrowed from family and maxed out three credit cards just to buy stock for the shop. She cashed in £50,000 of her pension to save the house and clear her debts. Her village lost its post office and its shop, a truly generous service to the community. In 2019 the Post Office settled the group case for £57.75M. Around £46M went on legal and funding costs, which left roughly £20,000 for each of the 555 people. The judge, Mr Justice Peter Fraser, had said the Post Office at times acted as though it answered only to itself, and it seems to have taken that as a challenge. Reports say at least 350 Horizon victims have died before their final payouts, so at this pace the scheme will finish the moment nobody is left to be paid. Heather Earley wanted justice and enough money to rebuild what was left of her life. Simon Goldberg says the lawyers and other parties who held up and nickel and dimed her redress should feel nothing but shame, though shame does not appear to be billable. Stop fighting these people and pay them before it is too late. Heather Earley never got her cheque. RIP Heather

🔴@Helen_Whately, Shadow Secretary of State for Work & Pensions, has claimed £2 MILLION expenses in 10 years. £300,000 relates to her own travel and accommodation - yet she only lives 50 miles from London. Her boss, @KemiBadenoch has 3 children, claims £2.7K per month to rent a 6 bed farmhouse & tried to claim expenses for a family holiday. The country can't afford these @Conservatives. - @Heccles94

I rarely do this… But @Shearings you are a disgrace. My in-laws, in their 70s, spend their pension on a holiday with you in St Ives …and this is where you sent them?! My father-in-law has Parkinson’s too - so well done for stressing him out. And my mother-in-law cried on the phone to you asking for a full refund And YOU REFUSED?!

I view Boris JOHNSON as a criminal. He knew what he was doing and did it gleefully. He should have been locked up by now. This is what is wrong with this country. A fascist, sociopathic and psychopathic RULING ELITE who don't think the rules apply to them.
This man and his lackey Hancock have been found guilty of killing thousands of older people living in care homes and lying to the public time and again. They should be arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned posthaste.

While Matt Hancock may be the worst offender, there were dozens of other Tory MPs who took part in the ‘Great £400 Billion Covid Swindle,’ hastening the demise of tens of thousands of elderly people while treating the pandemic like a money making opportunity.

Sainsbury's has posted an annual profit of £1.02bn. It current has 10,000 young people working for free, paid by you. With £1.02bn it could hire 105,905 people aged 18-20 for 16 hours a week all year. Why not MAKE the scumbags hire instead of giving them free workers?

🚨Conservative shadow minister’s nearly £2 MILLION expenses bill draws scrutiny Helen Whately, the Conservatives’ Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary, has claimed almost £2 million in parliamentary expenses over the past decade. These payments come from the public purse—funded by the taxes of ordinary hard-working people. Most of the total covers staff salaries, but around £300,000 relates to her own travel and accommodation, even though she lives roughly 50 miles from London in Kent. Party leader Kemi Badenoch claims £2,700 a month toward rent on a six-bedroom farmhouse in her Essex constituency, within the rules for an MP with three children. She has also faced claims she once sought taxpayer funding for a family holiday flight, which officials refused. Critics say the sums sit uncomfortably beside Conservative calls to tighten welfare; supporters note the claims follow standard IPSA rules for MPs

Someone sent me a post that said this on it about the murder of Liverpool’s Ken Bigley: “These are the last images of Ken Bigley. Moments before he knew his head was to be hacked off on camera. I was sent the video years ago. Not because of murder porn but as a warning of what will come if we don't stop it. It changed me as a man. Mohammed Yaseem took his time. Smiled at the camera. He took his time removing Kens head while still conscious. Thats the idea. The same as the videos of Jewish women having their breasts cut off and thrown around like a ball as she lays there screaming knowing whats coming next. They kept him in a cage for hours telling him his inevitable fate. Unimaginable cruelty. His crime.... being a westerner. His killer Mohamed Yaseen Mohammed Yaseen is also responsible for setting fire to women and girls in cages for not submitting to Islam. He burned them alive. Laughing and shouting Allahu Akbar. God is great Setting fire to children and women and slowly removing another humans head whilst praising a sky wizard..... Have a wild guess where he lives now???? Windsor. Seen shopping in the Co Op We know he's not working so your paying his rent, utilities and food bill. Our government won't deport him or lock him up. Where's the fuckin morality?” It is truly terrifying what we are allowing our government to do to us.

FORMER MET POLICE OFFICER JAILED FOR LIFE AFTER RAPING TWO VICTIMS INCLUDING A CHILD UNDER 13 – SENTENCE LATER INCREASED TO MORE THAN 17 YEARS A former Metropolitan Police officer who repeatedly raped two victims, including a child under the age of 13, has been jailed for life after being convicted of a string of horrific sexual offences. Cliff Mitchell, 24 at the time of sentencing, from Wandsworth, south-west London, was convicted of 10 counts of rape, three counts of raping a child under 13, kidnapping and breaching a non-molestation order. Mitchell was a serving Metropolitan Police constable based in Hounslow when several of his crimes were committed. His offending took place between 2014 and 2023, with the court hearing how he subjected his victims to years of sexual violence, intimidation and controlling behaviour. On 5 September 2023, Mitchell carried out a terrifying attack against one of his victims, arriving at her home armed with a knife. He raped the woman before threatening her, restraining her wrists with cable ties and covering her mouth with tape. Mitchell then forced the terrified woman into his vehicle at knifepoint. During the ordeal, he laughed as she cried and told her that nobody would believe her allegations because he was a police officer. The woman eventually managed to escape from his vehicle in Hackbridge, south London, and ran into traffic desperately seeking help. A passing motorist stopped and helped her into a vehicle before emergency services were contacted. The court heard a distressing 999 recording in which the victim explained that she had been kidnapped and that Mitchell was pursuing her. Investigators subsequently uncovered the extent of Mitchell’s offending, including serious sexual offences committed against another victim when she was under the age of 13. It also emerged that Mitchell had previously been investigated over an allegation of rape in 2017, although no further action had been taken at the time. Following his arrest in September 2023, that earlier investigation was reopened, resulting in additional rape charges. Mitchell was dismissed from the Metropolitan Police in December 2023 following an accelerated misconduct hearing. In February 2024, a jury at Croydon Crown Court found Mitchell guilty of the multiple sexual offences. His victims described him as “the devil” and “a pathetic excuse of a man”, revealing the devastating impact his crimes had on their lives. On 1 May 2024, Mitchell was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 13 years and 225 days. However, the case did not end there. The sentence was subsequently referred to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence Scheme. On 25 July 2024, Court of Appeal judges ruled that his original minimum term was insufficient given the seriousness and extent of his offending. His minimum prison term was increased by four years to 17 years and 225 days. Mitchell will therefore have to serve that minimum term before he can be considered for release by the Parole Board. Even if he is eventually released, he will remain subject to licence conditions for the rest of his life. The case raised further concerns about the Metropolitan Police’s handling of allegations involving its own officers, particularly after it emerged that Mitchell had been investigated for rape years before his eventual convictions. Mitchell’s crimes were a devastating abuse of trust by a man who had been entrusted with protecting members of the public. The courage of the two victims in coming forward ultimately helped bring a dangerous serial sex offender to justice.

Valdo Calocane killed Barnaby Webber, Grace O’Malley-Kumar and Ian Coates. He escaped murder charges and was found guilty of manslaughter by diminished responsibility. Now he could be released as early as January - less than four years after he killed them. He should never walk free.

2020: Matt Hancock, "Right from the start we've tried to throw a protective ring around our care homes" 2026: Baroness Hallett, "The claim that a so called protective ring has be thrown around care homes right from the start was unfounded. Quite the opposite is true. The adult social care sector as a whole, appeared to be something of an after thought" My view: Matt Hancock said the government had tried to throw a “protective ring” around care homes. He repeated the claim in Parliament. Nadhim Zahawi later publicly backed it, while Boris Johnson defended the government’s handling when challenged. Now Baroness Hallett’s inquiry has rejected the claim as unfounded: care homes were not protected from the start; adult social care was treated as an afterthought. This was more than a failure of words. Patients were discharged from hospitals into care homes without routine testing, and care homes were not advised to isolate those arrivals. Staff faced shortages of PPE and testing, while residents and families bore the consequences. The inquiry describes a system that failed to plan for the risks and failed to put care homes at the centre of its response. What we saw was a collective failure—a collaboration of incompetence at the expense of life. The phrase “protective ring” offered reassurance while the protections people needed were missing. Thousands of families were left grieving, and care workers were left trying to cope with the consequences. Those responsible should face the findings honestly, explain how this happened and make sure the lessons lead to change. But the question remains, why is there almost no accountability for the actions government ministers took during covid?
