I think what I resent the most is that all of us, especially the women who worked with him, were a part of his rehabilitation (at least image-wise) w/o us ever getting to choose if that was something we wanted to participate in. He didn't let anyone make a choice. How ironic.

My issue is with the idea that the sheer prospect of pursuing your passion becomes immoral, not with the idea that he should be deplatformed or the refusal to engage with his content (which I think are both fine reactions).

wanting a rapist to be held accountable by expulsion and/or fired from their job is not carceral. it’s the bare minimum. rapists should be removed from their communities, including second and third spaces (i.e. jobs and fraternities).

I believe in restorative justice, but I don't think that means you get to become a pillar of a community and garner an audience and an income that relies solely on everyone including yourself staying silent about your actions. In the VIDEO GAME SPHERE no less.
