ALBERTA MEDIA ALERT 🚨 What none of the Media are understanding is how involved Danielle Smith was behind the scenes in manipulating the petition and referendum process. Prior to the November 2025 AGM Danielle Smith Would text Jeff Rath on a relatively regular basis. On June 30, 2025 Smith sent a text to Jeff Rath by mistake that was obviously meant for Thomas Lukaszuk. The text said “Told you not to submit until the new rules came in. This has to be conducted under the old thresholds” This text was sent AFTER Lukaszuk had submitted his petition under the old rules and Lukaszuk was already Lobbying to have his petition be permitted to meet the lower signature threshold under the new rules. Rath responded to Smith by saying that Smith had obviously intended that text for Thomas Lukaszuk. Smith, obviously flustered tried to lie her way out of it claiming : “No I meant to send it to you. I told you and Mitch to wait until the new rules came in and it sounds like you did” The problem with that explanation is that Smith never told Rath anything about waiting until the new rules came in. We were doing it in any event. The obvious context of this text and the timing of it that Smith was colluding with Lukaszuk to rig the petition process and subsequent referendum against her base in favour of the Forever Canadians. Of course if what Smith was saying about NOT accidentally sending a text meant for Lukaszuk to Rath (which is less likely) this gives support to what people were saying at the time about Smith being a secret separatist. (which looks even less likely) The simple fact is that on either formulation - manipulative secret federalist or manipulative secret separatist, SMITH is unelectable. Understanding who she is as a person, who in their right mind would ever vote for her ever again, on either side of this debate.

Funny how evidentiary standards vanish when laundering imperialism to the Canadian masses. Only a whisper required as the spectre of the irrational mullahs who hate us for our freedom fills in the rest. Our taxes pay for this racist drivel.
Today CBC published an article with the headline: “Why a spate of gun-for-hire shootings in Toronto were likely paid for by Iran.” I was intrigued, as there has been almost 0 evidence offered for this claim thus far. Unfortunately this article doesn’t offer any either, adding nothing new. CBC says they spent weeks on the investigation, so these are pretty pitiful results, at least in terms of finding evidence of who paid for the shootings. I’m not sure why they feel comfortable with such a declarative headline given the lack of evidence (other than journalistic standards going out the window when the subject is an Official Enemy country). Also, CBC and other journalists continue platforming police claims that they need backdoor access to messaging apps to solve these shootings, with no push back or critique about how these powers can be abused, including against journalists. cbc.ca/news/investigates/ira…

What class did Avi play in Baldurs Gate?
This is private equity, this is what it does. Buy up businesses, run them into the ground, and rip them apart for short-term profit. The developers at BioWare know how to run the studio. They know how to make the games we all love. They should be given the first opportunity - and the federal support - to buy it and run it themselves. And if we want to avoid the Mass Effect effect in Canada, we should be keeping private equity out, not welcoming it in. pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/…

Wow! Sacha Baron Cohen invented unscripted comedy? I didn’t know that. Wow. Whoa. By the way what are his thoughts on Palestine?
Sacha Baron Cohen on Nathan Fielder, who worked on his show 'Who Is America?': "I think he’s a comic genius and he reinvented the genre that I, I suppose, created or developed. And he had a rule really, which was to not do anything that I had done. But he’s a brilliant, brilliant mind, and absolutely hilarious. I think his documentary’s going to be huge, so I’m very excited for him." bit.ly/4BpPgkz

I wonder if Jesse Brown will return the far greater sum donated to Canadaland under the false pretence that it was a serious journalistic outfit.
I wonder if Duncan Kinney will return the $34,933 donated to his legal defence fund under false pretenses from Omar Mouallem, Sandy Garossino, Euan Thomson, etc., etc.,

23% was around the highest I imagined them getting. It’s not insignificant at all for them, keeping in mind they’re a major influence on the governing party.
Alberta voted to stay in Canada but also to attack immigrants and take social programs and healthcare away from them

So Kinney pled guilty for defacing the statue and then writing about it for his publication at the time. An absolutely egregious disregard of basic ethics.

Hating on Friedland is fine. I find him funny. but holy shit that “joke” was offside. He’d have been justified glassing someone for saying something like that.
Adam Friedland crashing out over a mom joke on @patrickbetdavid has to be the most un-comedy thing I’ve ever seen a comedian do. @AdamFriedland don’t you make fun of people for a living?

How did the BC Conservative leader address the extreme views in his party during this week’s debate? Doerkson said that he “will always stand up against hate,” but did not elaborate as to how, confirming he stands by his campaign manager. pressprogress.ca/how-did-the…

Pretty sure I just walked by a dead pedestrian outside Saddletown station a few minutes ago. Man was motionless, half a dozen cop cars suddenly showed up. Bystander told me he was run over in the parking lot. An ambulance came but didn’t take off. Bad week for this neighbourhood.
I'm heartbroken by the tragic collision involving two Calgary Transit buses near Saddletowne Station. Three people have died and ten are injured, including a Calgary Police Service member who attended on scene. My deepest condolences to the families grieving. We will provide updates ASAP.

Mitch Sylvestre, the UCP's top fundraiser in 2025, UCP constituency association president, and Alberta separatist leader, comes out against a new pipeline to the west coast. It's clear that Danielle Smith has zero control over the party she purportedly leads. #ableg
Alberta separatist leader Mitch Sylvestre says the Pathways carbon capture project will make Alberta's water undrinkable, calling the Pacific Link pipeline "a toxic pipeline" that could become an environmental disaster.
