Watched the #TraitorsUS S2 reunion where #Peppermint gave words to exactly how I was feeling about being voted out first as the first trans woman in the show. #JohnBercow pipes in with a useless point defending the choice "as going with evidence"! UK parliamentary politics now.
This Friday I am speaking to AL teachers on why reading Butler has been formative for me as a feminist thinker and why her ideas on gender as performative, iterative, and socially co-constituted continues to be vital in critically opposing transphobia and racism today.

I met the brilliant and kind @ProfRanjanaDas in 2019 & I asked her about her cool methodology. So grateful to be learning from her - we met for jhaal dumplings in #ica24 and chatted about digital vignettes, auto ethnographic work and participatory research.
I was lucky to be asked to review one of the articles in this issue, and frankly it blew me away. Read the whole issue immediately!

Some parents just told me in my baby sensory class that the Labour Party told them that they shouldn’t vote for me because I wasn’t blocked from standing because of liking a few tweets, but for more serious reasons. I’ve heard this several times now. This is a vicious lie. I’m publishing the email I received from the Labour Party about this decision so everyone can see the truth, including:
1. That the media knew before I did
2. That these was nothing else, so the decision was made on extremely flimsy grounds. They also said I was still a member.
3. That their duty of care for me extended to a link to mental health resources.
Please do push back on the lies being told!
Conferences spaces like these have always given me hope and clarity. As I finally start writing my book proposal I feel lucky to be surrounded by such brilliant, kind and critical friends. #ica24 reminded me that I don't need to walk the road alone.
Thank you @cyberdivalive for kicking down doors and holding the space for people like me. You are a pioneer and dreamer and I am privileged to be your collaborator, fellow plotter and friend.
As an editor bringing in stellar interdisciplinary work on race and media has brought me in conversations with some brave and passionate decolonial scholars. @natifernando 's paper on feminist podcasting, race and politics of allyship in Italy blew our minds at #ica24 .
Critical, eloquent and theoretically brave and rigorous. It was a pleasure to attend @TroyZChen 's talk in #ica24 on erotic entrepreneurs in China and reversing the algorithmic gaze.
