Portsmouth desperately need to look at the Goalkeepers in January, best two at the club are out on loan, and we've conceded more goals to goalkeeper errors than any team in the league. It happens far to often #Pompey
Nice to see Colby Bishop finishing higher in the #BallonDor than any Southampton player 👍

What has happened to Madiodio Dia? He has gone from Carl Tiler to Sylvain Distin in the past few games.

ANDREW NEIL: Labour has a cheek asking the people to be more resilient in the face of danger when it’s done nothing to improve national resilience (and neither did the Tories)

Why are our two best goalkeepers out on loan, whilst the two first choices this season are full of mistakes and cost us dear?

Ofgem has issued an unprecedented warning that it cannot guarantee Britain’s energy demand will be met during peak winter conditions.
Heat, power, & light: all at risk due to potential gas shortages in a country blessed with deep gas reserves - untapped & left dormant due to political choice.
British consumers & businesses will now pay an even higher price for increased dependence on foreign supply. This is an unacceptable failure of energy policy & national energy security.

Great night spent taking my son to his first Pompey away game at Wolves last night. He now has the bug.
In Wolverhampton, taking my son to his first league away game. #Pompey

⚽ #LFC Have Problems. The #PremierLeague Has a Crisis.
I wrote yesterday about Liverpool's 3-0 defeat to #ManCity, and plenty objected to my criticism of the players.
The effort was there. The quality wasn't.
Liverpool's structural weaknesses remain, attacking cohesion is poor and there is a worrying mentality problem. Injuries matter, absolutely, but recruitment left this squad incapable of coping with absences. Hundreds of millions spent, yet the squad remains an unbalanced mess.
But my greater anger today is directed towards the Premier League.
Manchester City have been found guilty of 114 charges, yet sit top of the table without punishment. The appeals process offers no clarity, no meaningful timetable and no reassurance that this season's competition has any integrity.
And the behaviour of City since the verdict has been extraordinary.
Not a shred of contrition. Not a hint of humility.
Players and supporters appear to be following the example set by those at the top, celebrating as though the guilty verdict never happened.
Banners proclaiming "In Khaldoon We Trust" and "We've won it all" are embarrassing. Khaldoon Al Mubarak chairs the club found guilty of serious financial wrongdoing. Supporters should be demanding accountability from their leadership, not treating them as heroes.
Then there's Chris Kavanagh.
Appointing a referee from Greater Manchester to this fixture, amid unprecedented scrutiny, was spectacularly poor judgement. His previous controversial decisions involving City already invite criticism.
I'm alleging no corruption. He may simply be a poor referee. But his handling of Gravenberch's dismissal made dreadful optics considerably worse.
The Premier League created another entirely avoidable credibility problem.
Liverpool must address their shortcomings. City must face meaningful consequences.
And the Premier League must finally demonstrate that its rules, its verdicts and its competition actually mean something.

Football is in crisis here. Genuinely think people will fuck it off if City aren’t punished accordingly, and soon. The limbo only makes it worse.
I’ve always resisted conspiracy theories about officials, mainly because if that’s what’s going on, what are we all doing here?
But why make appointments that feed the conspiracy? Chris Kavanagh, from Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, for this game?
When trust is already on the floor, when people are already questioning the integrity of the competition, surely you look at that appointment and think: why invite it?
Today again exposed how much of a mess we are in. Cheap not up to scratch signings. No investment in training, coaching, scouting. No investment on the medical side, or improving the ground capacity.
Owners with no ambition, who have employed people out of their depth #Pompey
Just seen this man hiding in the bushes by Roko, whilst Portsmouth's 7 fit players train.
Judging by the size of the person's nose (i hope it was his nose), I did wonder if Matt Le Tissier was finally off the benefits and has a new job after Sky sacked him. #Southampton #Pompey

So the solution is to move all the illegal lads in to tiny little English villages and let them roam free? Or put them in HMOs and scatter them around the country? Mental.

Poor - and biased - response from Andy Burnham on Manchester City being found guilty of all charges related to serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules by an Independent Commission.
He says “I can’t intervene *more* in the process,” which requires an explanation in itself.
Then offers commentary on previous proceedings he felt was unfair, AND states he wouldn’t want to lose the club’s owners who have “been such a huge partner in the building of modern Manchester. Obviously, the building of Manchester City into the global force that it is.”
How was that force built?
And on the investment into the city itself, per a 2022 Guardian report: “Nine sites were sold to Sheikh Mansour at a fraction of their value, and well below what other plots nearby fetched. They were on leases lasting 999 years, well beyond the norm. And the fund shifted what had been public assets to companies registered in Jersey.
“That walk along the water from New Islington into Ancoats now passes blocks of privatised land owned in an offshore tax haven, which yields millions upon millions for a key member of the wealthy elite running a surveillance state halfway across the globe. One of the greatest cities in the world has sold itself to a senior figure in a brutal autocracy – and not even for a good price.”

Meet Parastoo Ahmadi, the Iranian singer just sentenced to 74 lashes for not wearing a hijab in a music video. And I have yet to see a single Western popstar, actor, or woke social justice warrior speechifying about her.
Almost like standing up for truly oppressed people isn’t actually the point.
