Because primary voting Dems are turning out at a higher rate, and there were more of them to begin with, they are accounting for a larger share of the TX early vote so far.

It should never be forgotten that Ken Paxton was a leader in the coup to nullify the election of Joe Biden. He filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court to challenge the 2020 election results in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin even though he was the AG for Texas. His suit was quickly tossed by the Court. On January 7th Paxton claimed the insurrection of the previous day was the work of antifa. This lie was quickly disproven.
On the 7th 46 state attorneys general disavowed the violence of the 6th in a letter to the Acting Attorney General of the U.S. A few days later three more AGs sent their own letter in condemning the violent insurrection. Only Ken Paxton failed to sign either letter.

"Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose."

So when Black and Hispanic precincts start outpacing white ones in early voting, that’s the system breaking. When a Republican county gets a front-row seat to what 287(g) does to its own neighbors, and its own business owners start yelling at the mayor, that’s a crack. When Texans leave their “I voted” stickers where ICE shot a man, that’s a message.

Mississippi might not flip this year. But the people who built the system were counting on us to stay home forever, and that’s the one thing that isn’t happening.
Six days left. Go vote.
A Texas Cop Signed on to Help ICE Deport His Neighbors. It Tore the Town Apart.
propublica.org/article/depor…
The Shadow Surge: In January 2025, Trump revived a troubled ICE program that deputizes cops as deportation officers. Over 29,000 local officers nationwide have enlisted.
After the Flood: Ingram, Texas, was rebuilding from a historic flood when its Police Department signed on with ICE. Within a year, cops would hand over the equivalent of 10% of the town.
Cop on the Ground: The local face of the national immigration crackdown became Officer Jaron Alexander. After suggesting ICE’s program to his chief, he grapples daily with the consequences.
Texas is a majority-minority state. That means that white people are the minority in the Lone Star State. Yet, our Republican government is like 98% white (estimated). They’ve spent years targeting one community after another, while simultaneously targeting access to voting. So many things the Trump administration has done were tested in Texas first.

Texas turnout by race, 2024 presidential election:
White, non-Hispanic: 66.6%
Black: 57.7%
Asian: 52.3%
Hispanic: 44.5%
Which goes back to what I was harking on about turnout. From James Bedwell:
(THREE GRAPHS THAT TELL THE STORY OF 2026)
These graphs ⬇️ show a shift in the first six days of early voting. White precincts are showing up less, and Hispanic and Black precincts are showing up more.
And the Hispanic vote may decide this election.

Greg Abbott and Dan Patrick have spent the last 15 years making enemies and not helping Texans. Will YOU be put on the enemies list next? Vote for Gina Hinojosa and Vikki Goodwin for Governor and Lt Governor of Texas. It's time to come together for all Texans. Instead of growing the enemies list.

These Trump voters changed their minds — and are key to the midterms wapo.st/4z7L
Rick Sebring, a resident of rural Black Creek, Georgia, is one of them. He was among the Americans drawn to Trump when he emerged as a political outsider running for president in 2015, and supported him in each election since.
Now, he says, he jokes with his son and daughter, 25 and 18, that he needs a hat that reads: “I fell for it three times.”
Trump is “not the same guy he was before,” said Sebring, 66, who explained that he no longer believes the president is acting with ordinary Americans’ best interests at heart.
Actually he never changed, you just became smarter.
