Hoy es domingo, mi día de descanso. Me entretengo con mi gata Dulce, mostrándola las páginas de la última versión de “El Incal”. 1. No critiques, siembra conciencia. 2. Aunque no sepas lo que quieres en verdad quieres. 3. Sin creer imposible saber. 4. Fui fortaleza ahora soy templo. 5. Soy capaz de amar a mis futuras vidas. 6. Somos un sueño que sueña. 7. Alejandro . Video @PascaleMJodo #elincal @leshumanos

"Physical Evidence" is only evidence insomuch as it indicates that we are finite beings having a conscious experience. The resolution at which we are able to view that experience is trivial.

If you sincerely believe that the politicians you support are motivated by a genuine attempt to do good, that's because you're too busy convincing others that your own motives are genuine attempts to do good to notice that the politician's true motives are self-aggrandizing. I mean, we're all in this together, right?

Christians need to claim ACTIVE phenomena now, because the Atheists are going to try to steal it once their "Methodological Naturalism" collapses.
4
REMINDER: The concept "Good" is etymologically related to being well formed, fit, as designed. The concept "Evil" is etymologically related to excrement. So people who believe that Good and Evil are "subjective" are basically saying that SHIT isn't objectively bad.

I think we should start giving Atheists what they want. Oh, morality is subjective? Ok, then you have no authority. My morality is superior because I said so. This is the game they want to play, so stop trying to convince them. Just steamroll their ignorant asses.

40 years since making The Color of Money. I had the privilege as a young artist, to have a general meeting with Paul Newman and separately with Martin Scorsese years before making this film, where they shared some of their wisdom on cinema. Of course, I’d seen their films, but prior to meeting them for the first time, I set up a personal study course where I would watch their films in sequence from the beginning of their careers, up until that point in time. After being cast in The Color of Money, I once again studied all of their films in sequence. Having studied their work, then being able to see firsthand these incredible artists, the towering legends of our field, at work on set, I was able to observe their practical application in every aspect of acting and filmmaking from their point of view. I will always be grateful for this opportunity and for the generosity that Newman and Scorsese showed me with their knowledge of cinema and insight throughout the entire process. To Marty, Paul, and the enormously talented cast and crew, it was a pleasure and an honor to be part of this film with you all! I have carried this experience and knowledge with me my entire career.

This one was a banger.
Top-down teleological causality, for example. This phenomenon is ubiquitous, so it's trivial to admit that we observe it. So how do we account for it? Suppose someone claims that such phenomena are reducible to bottom-up, mechanistic processes. In that case, the burden of proof falls to them to provide a rigorous model illustrating that this is possible. But wait! Due to their presumptive epistemological assumptions, only mechanistic, bottom-up processes are permitted as explanatory models. Oops! Oh well. Burden of proof apparently doesn't apply to that claim, nor is it possible to entertain any evidence or proofs to the contrary. Any rational human being ought to be able to admit how this is a problem, but Atheism is not a rational position. Your ostensible aim here is to set me up for mockery when I fail to point to God and say "there He is right over there". To that end you might even fumble the ball by saying "teleological causality still isn't evidence of *your* particular deity". Of course, this is all obfuscation. Teleology is the obvious, straightforward observed fact. Denying its authenticity is the extraordinary claim. Apart from that, positing teleological, top-down causality as a fundamental attribute of reality is the more parsimonious theory. So this whole "show me the evidence" game is just a performative hazing ritual. Atheism is not concerned with evidence, proof, or truth. It's just another in-group vying for dominance.

Classic bad naturalist apologetic: P1: Assume only nature exists. P2: Everything must have a natural explanation because P1. P3: Demand lab proof of God while exempting P1 from the same test. P4: When a natural explanation is missing, issue an IOU to future science. P5: Science explains many things, therefore nature is all there is. C: Therefore, no God. Same fallacy list. Different bumper sticker.
Classic Apologetic P1: Begging the question. P2: Circular reasoning to support P1. P3: Special pleading to resolve contradictions between P1 and P2. P4: Argument from ignorance to fill remaining gaps. P5: Non sequitur to bridge the gap to the desired conclusion. C: Therefore, God

People are confused about AI and consciousness because they think consciousness has something to do with converting sounds and colors into digital bit streams. That's wrong. The mystery of consciousness is about how digital bit streams get converted into sounds and colors.

Believing that our existence is happenstance, that life isn't inherently valuable, that there is no purpose or meaning in the universe besides the arbitrary preferences of competing animals who's only concern is survival . . . is foolish. But teaching it to children is EVIL.

Having watched the TRIGGERnometry episode with Owen Jones, it seems clear what Konstantin is trying to do. He wants to have constructive conversations with woke Marxists to see if common ground can be found. It's admirable, but futile. I spent a decade on the boards of The Guardian and the BBC trying to engage with these people, understand them, see if there was any way we could negotiate or compromise, and what I learned was that there's just no point. It's not that we disagree with each other. It's that we exist on entirely different plains of reality. They think men can get pregnant. They think random Somalians are English. They think Charlie Kirk getting shot is a cause of celebration. They think importing third world rapists is an acceptable trade off for being able to call your society "multicultural." They think that whiteness is evil, capitalism is a sin, the West must be destroyed, Islam is awesome, non-whites cultures are superior, and that mentally vulnerable teenagers should be sterilised and their genitals mutilated. No amount of discussion with an indoctrinated woke Marxist ideologue is going to convince me that I should become one or that they should stop being one. Our perspectives are so diametrically opposed that we may as well be a different species. Furthermore, I don't simply think that they're wrong. I think they're evil. Actively evil, and that the damage they cause is catastrophic and unforgivable. I don't want to find common ground with them anymore. I'm no longer interested in trying to understand them. I don't want to talk to them, I don't want to engage with them, I don't want to see them. I don't care why Owen Jones thinks Hugo Chavez isn't a dictator or why he thinks importing Afghani's statistically far more likely to rape women than native Britons are is acceptable. We should spend a lot less time trying to win them over or convince them that they're wrong, and a lot more time deciding amongst ourselves how we're going to fix the dire situation we find ourselves in.

Has anyone ever asked @RichardDawkins why he stopped at selfish genes? Why not selfish nucleotides? Why not selfish molecules? Selfish atoms? Selfish..... Oh, wait.

Calling consciousness "subjective" is a tell that you haven't read Nagel or Levine.

A lot of very silly people in the USA falsely believed that the more people you send to college, the more smart people you will get. The opposite is true. The more people you send to college, the dumber colleges get. It's called regression to the mean.

Another thing about this that's so ugly, is @JBoreingShow frames everything as a tactician. He's advocating embracing struggle and adventure, not because it's inherently good to do so, but because he's decided it's a prudent political strategy. Honestly, kind of despicable.
George Orwell explained why young men followed Hitler. Men are built for struggle. If. you don't give them a cause to fight for, they'll find it in dark places.
