Africa will only achieve true autonomy when we shift our vocabulary from brotherhood and morality to capacity, engineering and leverage.
The world does not respect the righteousness of your cause, it respects the scope of your power.

Everybody wants a summit with Africa.
But when does Africa get to host summits where the world comes to negotiate on Africa’s terms?
How long will we remain a continent of strategic interests, investment opportunities and diplomatic courtship without translating all this international attention into prosperity for ordinary Africans?
African leaders complain about being summoned by a single country but they keep showing up.
At the Russia-Africa summit, Putin literally handed out ice cream, criticized former colonizers, and called out "active attempts by Western countries" to keep the continent in debt
African leaders troop to Russia, again
CNN's Larry Madowo reports on the third Russia-Africa summit as Putin tells leaders that Moscow is a better friend than former colonial powers
the sad thing about this russia Africa thing is the fact that it's been a total failure and never delivers on tangible promises to the African masses, only thing it does well is creating new African warlords and neocolonial caretakers, it's the 90s all over again

Colonialists may have exploited Africa but they built the infrastructure and systems that African countries rely on to this day. Russia may not be 'colonising' Africa but they are exploiting it and building nothing. We are like a woman who dumps a rich man because she thinks he uses her for sex, for a romantic man who also just uses her for sex but only offers sweet words in return. At least the rich man paid her bills. Now she is only left with an empty stomach and sweet words. Oh how easily we are manipulated. Hahaha
“We will continue to work with #Africa, but NOT in way that colonialists used to do. Not at Africa’s expense, but work together and develop together” President Putin
Africans want Russia to stop flooding our countries with weapons and mercenaries while exploiting our resources, capitalizing on our political instability, and using our wars to advance its own geopolitical interests.
You'll never see Russia invest like this in Africa, but delusional lots want us to hate one and love one, instead of realising we can work with both of them just like everyone else.
Replying to @SimplyMdawini
EU holds by far the largest FDI stock in Africa (~$271bn in 2024), followed by the US (~$47bn) and China (~$44bn). Russia remains a minor investor at roughly $5bn or less. Data based on UNCTAD and related estimates of accumulated stocks.
None of your sahelian states you brag about even survived contact with Europeans while the forest states did

📌 EXCLUSIVE | "Africa should distance itself from blaming anyone else": Eritrean president
The continent "should seriously make contributions" to partnerships rather than rely on "the support of other parties," Isaias Afwerki told Sputnik Africa.
They think chanting “West bad, China-Russia good” is how Africans will kumbaya their way to economic prosperity.
These nations are traders. You don’t alienate yourself to just China because they’ll definitely leave you when shit hits the fan. Trade with them and move on, just as you do with everyone else.
The nonsense of “West bad, China good” is why we have Chinese modern-day slave plantations masquerading as factories all over Africa, all in the name of “they’re better than the West”, as if we’re incapable of deciding what’s best for ourselves.
Like I said, China should never be the main world power. They should jejely sit there as part of the global balance of power.

@AOuattara_PRCI
Merci.
Nous accueillons 4.5x plus de migrants que la moyenne africaine, 2.5x plus que la Moyenne Mondiale.
Vive la Côte d'Ivoire. C'est ça le panafricanisme concret.
Rentrez. On va vous recevoir.
