Zuma Beach, Malibu this morning. The "lagoon" is back with much of the beach gone again between towers 15 and 16. The bulldozers have their work cut out for them again to restore the beach.
Fire in Malibu Hills at Encinal and Mulholland. Moving reasonably slowly so far toward the beach. And because the power is off everywhere in this area a lot of people in its path won't be aware of it. Ugh.
Zuma Beach in Malibu between towers 14 and 15. At least half the beach is covered with water. In places it is up to the parking lot. And this is before the effects of storm really hit.

Malibu needs a tracker for how many days @SCE can go without an outage. So far this week the longest streak is "1".
Kamloops looks like a bad smog day in 80s LA with all the smoke from the British Columbia fires. – at Kamloops 1, British Columbia
Malibu is the fourth most dangerous place to the celebrate the Fourth of July in California? It is if you pull together holiday crash rates, injury death rates, five year crash average, county fire incident rate, and fireworks availability. Tons of people crowding near the beach leads to lots of car crashes, in a city with a small population.
Robocalls are at the lowest levels in roughly 4 years. Biggest problem is that there are still roughly 4 billion of them every month, and 58% of those are unwanted.

Sad to see the end of the Tesla Model S. I have had two and put over 250k miles on them Now what do we buy as our upcoming replacement. Likely not a Tesla since Model 3 too small and we dont need another SUV or truck, and other electrics don't look as good or work as well. Sigh, all good things must come to an end. – at Malibu, CA

A bit of flooding at the entrance to Trancas Country Mart from PCH in Malibu. Doesn't look like that much but the water is all the way over the curbs onto the sidewalk and is enough to get over the bottom of car doors on smaller/lower cars. – at Malibu, CA
Those Walmart robocalls talking about a Playstation purchase are fraudulent. Millions of impersonation calls made every month. And they work, though, beacuse 90% of us shop at Walmart. cbsnews.com/news/walmart-imp…
Nashville still getting hit by tons of robocalls, despite fewer in the US as a whole. Nice have the opportunity to go on WKRN to help educate people on how to protect themselves and others from scam calls. wkrn.com/news/tennessee-news…
Just in time for the holidays.
Looks like scam and telemarketing robocalls are increasing again, after being in a downtrend since May. Nice that they're lower than they were at the peaks, but never great when the volume trend starts moving upwards. We'll have to see if recent enforcement actions change this.

Yikes, Malibu is going to get 10-12 inches of rain with this upcoming storm? That seems a bit problematic. At least we won't have to water anything for, like, the rest of the year.
Robocalls in October take a big dive, per YouMail's robocall index. Down to less than 3.8 billion in October, nearly 25% or ~1.2 billion fewer robocalls less than the peak earlier in April. And driven by a big drop in unwanted calls.
The big question is why? Did the new S/S third-party signing regulation have an impact? Or some enforcement actions we don't know about? Or...?
