Sometimes the smallest measures have the biggest impact - I suspect the nation's improved hand hygiene is playing a bigger role than we think. Don't forget the added benefits it gives against other nasty viruses too. I'm constantly washing my hands - please do the same!

We don't hear so much about hand washing now, but it's one of the most effective ways to stop the virus. It's been somewhat overlooked - ministers need to be shouting it from the rooftops. Excellent hand hygiene is the virus's worst nightmare - don't forget about it!
