It would be amazing if you could support us this Christmas - as well as Christmas cards and our 2027 calendar, we have lots of gifts in our online shop including sponsorship vouchers for those who would like to form a relationship with one of our rescued horses.
From mugs to fluffy ponies, cards to t-shirts, books to virtual gifts for our horses, there is lots to choose from. We would love it if you had a browse - it might just tick someone off your list to buy for... and help our horses at the same time!

Tinker and Tailor have always been best buddies and have a very close relationship as shown here! It just demonstrates how important companionship is to a herd animal such as a horse and underpins our decision to keep our horses all living in herds.
These two boys do really need and support each other every day - even when they are having a playful scrap!! #ManeChanceSanctuary #RescueHorses #AnimalCharity #EquineWelfare #HappyHorses
The firework season is upon us and for all of us that have pets that find this time of year so distressing, the Blue Cross have put together some advice on how you can try and reduce the anxiety that they experience. Take a read of their page - they might just suggest ...
something new that could help both you and your animals this year. We hope you have an uneventful few days as we all deal with what the next few nights have in store and keep our fingers crossed it doesn't go on for any longer!! bluecross.org.uk/advice/pets… @The_Blue_Cross
Our 2027 calendar is on sale now!
Each month features a picture of one of our horses, accompanied by a little quote to cheer your days and give a little inspiration.
Even in this digital age, we believe that there is still a place for a wall calendar which would enhance any room - office, kitchen, bedroom etc!
Our calendars are just £4.95 each and are available on our website shop!

Look at this amazing herd of 60 horses!
These little friends were knitted by a small team of very talented ladies, led by our volunteers Gillie and Barbara.
One of our wonderful supporters 'commissioned' this herd after seeing them in our Sanctuary shop and the ladies have donated hours of time and effort into getting them ready and looking very smart!

Hi everyone, please take a few minutes to watch my talk with #AndréMenache he precisely outlines why this petition is so important and why we need to reach 100k signatures

“Urgently require a Parliamentary inquiry into Animal Research Regulation”.
New York said yes!
They voted in the bill to outlaw horse and carriage rides in New York. They will not be allowed to run from June 2028, which whilst it is a while away, has been chosen to allow the workers to find new work but also time for the horses to be... 1/3
properly rehomed - the bill prevents the horses being sold for slaughter or to other carriage driving businesses. This is a good result - the practice needed to stop for the welfare of the animals and of course, we would have liked it to be sooner, but that ... 2/3
was never a reality. We hope that this way, both the humans and horses involved are able to secure happy futures.

We are delighted to announce that actress, comedienne and presenter Sally Phillips will be joining us for our Carols evening at Godalming Minster on Sunday 6th December. Sally is a great friend to Mane Chance and we are really looking forward to seeing her again.
As it is Halloween, we thought we would recall the one of the most famous ghostly horse legends! The highwayman Dick Turpin and his faithful mare, Black Bess, are rumoured to haunt their old stomping grounds of Epping Forest, Woughton on the Green in Buckinghamshire and the
Spaniard's Inn in Hampstead (where he used to drink with his mates!). The hooves of Black Bess are apparently regularly heard clip clopping about in all three places.
