Not quite the sadly dipped mega of the Rufous-tailed Robin but this male Northern Bullfinch was a big beauty in its own right at Flamborough south landing this afternoon. First one of this race I've seen. Strikingly large and pale, also sporting a ring. #Yorksbirds

Clamorous reed warbler, West Bank of the Nile, Aswan 🇪🇬 on Wednesday. Largely silent currently, but kind enough to come out of the reeds. With the excellent @Aswanbirding for a few hours to complete my Egypt list. 🌏 Life ✅ #1220 #birdsofegypt #birds

It's not much, but it's a start! The first recorded turns of the Scottish ski season were had last night on the Cairngorms.

Took a bit of refinding but had the American Buff-bellied Pipit in Northants feeding totally unbothered just a couple of feet away for over an hour this evening!! Wish I’d taken a video of it when it was walking past my wellie! Bird flew to roost at about 17:25.

A few more birds today on Holy Island but they had to be worked hard far in the blustery conditions. Woodcock and the first Yellow-browed Warbler for some time were notable. Hopes for a rare wheatear had me pounding the shore & eventually I found a Wheatear, close, but no cigar!
