Is your friend not a genius? 🤭
I can’t let one binary option kpai me. Surprise the plot every now and then.
But seriously, “there is always another option” has saved me from a lot of unnecessary despair.
My friend, Tope @Manni__Tee, has been pushing this theory of how there is always a third option.
When we think of our options, we are inclined to think of them in twos. It's either A or B. Black and white. Right and wrong. But we actually need to expand our view to consider that there might be a third option. Just because it's not ostensible doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
And with some options, you create them. Don't get stuck with only what life makes available to you . There is always another. Multiple routes. Multiple answers. Multiple options.
Don't get stuck.

I am going to write a classic, a bestseller that people will continue to read and study for years.
Sometimes, when people say “you’re doing too much,” what they really mean is “you’re visible in a way that makes me uncomfortable.”

If you’re Nigerian and you didn’t drop litter in your environment today, like & RT. I want to check something.
Sometimes, the biggest act of rebellion is simply choosing to create when Nigeria expects you to just survive.

Unrelated but being aware you have internalized misogyny as a feminist is so humbling. This man came to my exhibition with his wife, and I kept telling him to buy something for her.
He calmly corrected me and said she has her own money, and if she wanted anything, she could buy it herself that she doesn’t need him to do it for her.
It really took me aback. Why didn’t I ask her if she wanted something? Why did I automatically assume she needed a man to buy it for her? I felt so bad about myself and honestly, I had a whole epiphany that day.
