Anyone who says this is not racist needs to give their head a wobble
@PatrickChristys if this was a labour MP you would be running an hour length feature tonight
In reality this wont even get a mention

Ok this kind of hits hard
Fell out of love with him towards the end but without him we would still be in opposition being accused of antisemitism and in the claws of the harder left in out party
I will forever thank him for that

I fully support Mahmoods policies.
Full text of Labour MPs' letter to Burnham demanding changes to Shabana Mahmood's migration policies revealed by @theipaper this evening
"We are expending political capital... and losing progressive voters on Indefinite Leave to Remain reform which few really understand or want"
Keir took us from a party that was not only a joke but genuinely hated around the country. The night of the general election was amazing that feeling of hope the morning after. Mistakes have been made but hopefully in time he will be looked back on as the decent kind guy we know
Principled and quite clever as well, free’s him to put his name forward for a leadership run. The sensible/ Boring option compared to Burnham and Streeting perhaps
They have offered him a way out , he could have left on his own terms, cabinet will be left with no choice but to resign now , again just awful leadership skills
I mean could he? Maybe ? It’s a thought ?
Tough election results for Labour and no point pretending otherwise.
People are frustrated, and with good reason. We need a serious look at where policy, delivery and campaigning are falling short.
We also shouldn’t kid ourselves that Reform or Green slogans amount to a serious plan for the country. They don’t. The challenges Britain faces are real, difficult and long term.
The Birmingham Council is now more ‘split’ than ever before, but regardless we will continue to work to deliver for our constituents across these new challenges.
The answer is not more noise or easy answers. It’s having the courage to take difficult decisions, deliver properly, rebuild a country that is secure and resilient.
To all the Labour team, tough times don’t last, tough people do. Stay focused, keep moving forward and keep delivering.
The aim is to lay your head on your pillow in three years and be confident that we did everything in our power to make the United Kingdom the best it possibly can be.
I’ve met Keir Starmer , I believed him to be a man of integrity, principled and a big moral compass. If I’m to have this opinion going forward he needs to announce a timetable for his exit as Prime Minister
This can not go on any longer
Hi @christopherhope show me any tweet of yours when you worked at the Telegraph condemning the Tories for not picking channel 4 , the guardian or the mirror for questions or you just one big hypocrite
Yes, governments of all varieties in the UK have a track record of selective media engagement—prioritizing outlets seen as friendly while dodging tougher or hostile ones to shape the narrative. Conservatives faced similar accusations of favoring aligned voices (including regular BBC slots despite bias claims) and limiting access to perceived left-leaning reporters during key moments. Labour's current approach with GB News fits the pattern. It's bipartisan politics as usual, though it risks eroding trust across the board.
