Primetime (2026)
Väldigt stiliserad och fotot är nästan lite blurrigt. Intressant val. Påminner om Nightcrawler (2014) tematiskt. Pattinson och Wever är grymma men Skyler Gisondo är nog bäst av alla. Någon onödig subplot tyvärr. Blir nästan lite metafysisk mot slutet.

Sling Blade (1996)
En retarderad man som suttit på rättspsyk sedan barnsben släpps ut och måste integrera sig i ett utkantssamhälle i södern. Otroligt mörk film men också väldigt fin. Många olika känslor samtidigt. Billy Bob Thornton är monumental i huvudrollen verkligen!

Omtitt. Jag blir inte klok på den här filmen. Den är ultramacho men också gay. Cool men också cringe. Den är visuellt snygg och ful på samma gång. Den är helt oironisk men samtidigt parodisk. Våldsamt politiskt inkorrekt vilket är skitkul. Älskar Xerxes röst!

Jag är ett stort fan av Na Hong-jin men vad hände här egentligen? Jag hade kunnat förlåta de bedrövliga CGI-varelserna om filmen hade haft ett vettigt manus. Det bara händer massa random skit känns det som. Starkt kameraarbete och coola stunts dock.

Because it's like trying to find the author of a book inside the book. Frodo can't find Tolkien in Middle Earth, can he? Not in the way you demand at least. The proof of the author's existence is the book itself. Frodo and his entire world are proof of Tolkien's creative force.
I rewatched Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) this weekend. I think it's a perfectly constructed hero's journey and a beautiful depiction of the power of storytelling and ancestral knowledge.
Symbolically rich, visually stunning and the evil aunties are genuinely scary.
