If you want to understand just how utterly broken the Mafin fandom is, read the posts from people who bought tickets for the con, or were planning to go, and now don’t even want to be there. The show has destroyed the very fandom they spent so long benefiting from. We endured 9 months without Fina, holding on and waiting for her return, only for them to bring her back and somehow make everything even worse. People are exhausted. They’re hurt, disappointed and genuinely sad about what has happened to something that once brought them so much joy. We have actresses calling fans rude for expressing opinions, while defending characters whose abusive behaviour the show refuses to properly acknowledge. And now we have a convention accusing fans of negativity and disrespect for questioning why the person responsible for overseeing the story that devastated this fandom is being brought into what should have been a space for Alba, Marta and their fans. At every turn, legitimate criticism is treated as an attack, disappointment is labelled as hate, and the people who have invested so much love, time and money into Mafin are made to feel like the problem. And what’s genuinely heartbreaking is just how fractured this fandom has become. A community that once shared so much excitement, joy and love is now full of people who are exhausted, disillusioned and struggling to find any enjoyment in something that used to mean so much to them. It’s incredibly sad to see what has happened, especially knowing how unnecessary so much of it was. They built something extraordinary with this fandom, and instead of valuing it, they’ve spent months alienating the very people who made it special @antena3com @DiagonalTV @atresplayerint
