Bosses: what r u doing to care 4 ur Black staff? Do they have the freedom to “call in Black” tmrw? R u providing $$ to support healing? If you don’t have a plan, get ready to be flexible. Black folks need us to stand up and get out of the way.

My Black and Brown colleagues are not ok. I am not ok. Four of us are mamas raising Black and Brown sons. We work @HeadwatersFdn because we believe that another world is possible. Moments like this are so heavy that the anger and anxiety are excruciating.

Funders are less inclined to invest in orgs they deem new &/or risky. An org may be new, but its organizers have been doing the work for yrs. The reality is the framing of risk is actually incredibly racist. Thx for creating this space @whenlulawerks @Chandasbaker and Repa Mekha
