Watching #ThePiano on channel 4 and am reminded of the late Irish musician and composer, Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin.

I remember as a child tuning into LW on my sister's radio. I'd hear the shipping forecast on Radio 4 late at night & foreign radio stations. I was intrigued. For many, radio is a connection with an ever changing world, it's a powerful medium. Sad to see this particular era end.
The end of an era - After almost a century we said goodbye this morning to our great companion of the airwaves Radio 4 198 LW. I shall miss her warmth and crackle. Here’s the final sign off at the end of #theshippingforecast before she fell silent… ❤️
I saw Simply Red in concert in the King's Hall, Belfast, in the 90s. Fabulous band live and the unmistakable vocals of Mick Hucknall. A memorable night. #SimplyRedAtTheBBC
Such sad news to hear that Moya Brennan has died. Her distinctive, haunting vocals garnered many fans and I was lucky enough to see her solo concert in 1992 and in 2019 with Clannad. A great talent. May she rest in peace. @ClannadMusic
The wonderful Clannad received the Hall Of Fame Award last night at the Fiddler's Green Festival. It was such a privilege to hear them and to meet and briefly chat with @moyaclannad whom I last saw perform in Rostrevor in 1992. Their "Lore" album is a personal favourite. 💚🎶
The end of the Easter Triduum services and I've earned a rest today. A lot of preparation and practical work goes into the Easter repertoire for Choir directors like myself, which congregations never see, but it was all worth it in the end, thankfully. Happy Easter.

A #LateLate legend 🌟
With a five-decade musical career, Mary Black certainly left her mark ❤️
Best of luck with the retirement 🫶
What a gorgeous tribute by Róisin O to her Mother, Mary Black. Just stunning. #latelate #latelateshow
Mary Black, Frances Black, Eleanor McEvoy, Eleanor Shanley and the late Dolores Keane et al. They paved the way for many singers and their songs are a joy to listen to and perform, particularly Mary's songs. #latelate #latelateshow

The students from St. Paul’s, Bessbrook are certainly getting around town, now in the Palace of Westminster and still sounding FANTASTIC!!!
Congratulations Jessie Buckley - BAFTA winner, Golden Globe winner and now #Oscar winner. She's come along way since her TV debut on the UK talent competition "I'd do anything" to the big screen. A well deserved win for a very talented woman.
Good to see #TheHotelInspector is back on @channel5_tv again. Alex Polizzi is tough but fair, especially during a time when the hospitality industry has faced major upheaval post covid.
I think Matt Tebbutt will fit in nicely, he's popular with viewers and he knows his craft. #MasterchefTheProfessionals
