This week we had the final @HealthInnoWest Black Maternity Matters session for senior leaders, six months of learning, personal exploration and reflection on what it means to be an antiracist leader, and the impact of racism on maternal outcomes for black mothers.
To sit with the discomfort of our bias and privilege, is indeed uncomfortable, but nothing in comparison to the pain of racism.
Thanks to @AnnRemmers for the opportunity to learn, and a HUGE thanks to @BCohC0 and @itsrepmatters - for your generosity of ‘lived experience’ and expertise, you have truly transformed the essence of me.
