University staff have seen pay fall by 25% since 2010, pensions cut by 35%, & face growing job insecurity.
But universities are generating record income & vice-chancellor pay is soaring, with some on £700,000+ salaries.
That's why @UCU members are on strike today.
Solidarity!

As a Disabled academic who works from home, I've observed recent #ucustrikes with @SwanseaUcu but not picketed as I felt I couldn't afford the energy, and to be even further behind on work when I return to my fixed term 12 month contract. /1

Tomorrow morning I'll be talking to @PMRadioWaves about breastfeeding in public, for their podcast.
My main message, as always, is to stop being mean to people who're just feeding their infant, regardless of how they're feeding them.
This (free) webinar seems great especially for any @SwanseaUni students who do empirical research using #ThematicAnalysis
