A good way to spoil a natural habitat with plastic! Whoever thought of that - maybe not the little boy & maybe not ever happened - is a genius!

Just checked: South Portland!
The colours of sea & sky & the coast line beyond look very Greek :) It reminded me of the lighthouse of Saint Theodore lying next to the main port of Cephalonia. It was built by the British administrator Charles Napier in 1828, thus the similarities.
Happy New Year #2026 under the auspices of the old and the older - #alltimepresent
Exquisite dip of Mesolonghi #bottarga with a complete #Savvatiano flight from the blessed Attican land. No better start to the festive season! #MerryChristmas2025 #Attica
From ‘Fata Morgana’ by Kavvadias (Morgan the Fairy stands for the creation of fantastical, illusion-like complex mirages, often seen in the sea when extreme temperature gradients occur). Here dressed with the music & undimmed voice of Mariza Koch ✨🎹🎤

Kavvadias, a superb Greek poet who wrote extensively about the Sea joined the war in 1940 & served as a mule guide. He wrote:
“That winter I was urging a loaded mule down the narrow paths of coastal Albania. They said the animal was driving me. It is the same thing.”#cherishpeace
This is the first purpose built theatre of the world on an autumn day. Bold elongated archaic construction (ca 520 BC) with local schist, it overlooks the Aegean Sea & served for performances and citizen meetings alike. Here a Kentish school testing its amazing acoustics 🎭🎼✨
‘Deep red marble, Roman (the colour of red wine from Lazio), porphyry from Damascus,
glory in crystal glasses, wine from Santorini.
Let the wineskin provide us with a flow, and the shepherd Apollo dip his arrows in dioscorine.’
Amazing word craft! Who is the poet? Where from?
Harvest supermoon rising over Sounion! At the very spot where the King of Athens Aegeus awaited his son Theseus, throwing himself in the sea on seeing black sails & naming the sea off the Greek mainland #Aegean. Every pebble, every wave of this sea whispers his ancient language!
Dionysos about Theatre:
