sf tech’s biggest cognitive dissonance:
saying that thinking without ai and reading books is the competitive advantage of the century, then telling you to drop out of college.
hot take: college culture overemphasizes doing things outside of class.
side projects matter, but so does going to class, struggling with hard ideas, and learning theory in good faith.
people underestimate how much academic knowledge carries your whole life.
