But universities are generating record income & vice-chancellor pay is soaring, with some on £700,000+ salaries.

I'm super proud of everyone who gets a PhD so when you Viva can i suggest everyone stop saying "with x corrections", "no corrections" etc. It creates a sort of implicit hierarchy that the system isn't designed to be. A PhD is a PhD and it's a fucking wondrous thing. Celebrate.

I haven’t tweeted for nearly a year… the past year has been the most traumatic of my adult life. So much more awareness, support, and research needed re #hyperemesis #HG. It’s such a horrific illness. Thankfully I made it to the other side and am now on maternity leave.
