Mariners need to sell. This is embarrassing.

I am so happy for Daniel Vogelbach. Legend.
Christian Yelich, captain of the Milwaukee Brewers, playing in his club’s first World Series in 44 years, seeks guidance from a storied ball-knower named Danny Burgers in big situations. This is the beauty of baseball.

Brewers might have some of the best vibes I’ve ever watched from a baseball team. Wish the Mariners had this right now.
GAMEDAY: The Brewers have a 64% chance on Kalshi to win the World Series over the Rays. Make your pick now — who will be World Champs?

Happy Birthday Lázaro Montes 👀 Only 22 years old. Greatness is coming. He also has the same birthday as Ichiro, good sign to me 🤣

Happy 53rd birthday to Mariners legend Ichiro Suzuki. I swear he could still play today, he could bat .250 at least.

For once, a somewhat big name, and no connection to the Mariners. Good. No need.
NEW: There is over a 50% chance that Jarren Duran is moved this offseason, via Kalshi. $100 on Duran to be on the Red Sox by Opening Day pays out $205.45. What team would be the best fit for the Red Sox OF?

I really hope the Mariners make the right choice at manager for once. I don't know why we always have to be cheap or just make the wrong choices... for ONCE just get it right.

Would you be open to the Mariners getting Stephen Vogt as manager? This is one I would not argue at all. One of the rare ones I would be happy with.
Anthony Castrovince says not to rule out Stephen Vogt going to the Seattle Mariners: "It kills the guy to be away from his family... his family's out in Washington, so from that point, it makes all the sense in the world" (via @castrovince on @923TheFan) #GuardsBall

Oh how badly I wish last years Mariners season went like this. I still can't believe we had a 2-0 & 3-2 lead in the series and didn't make it to our first World Series. I feel like last year was suppose to be our dream year like it is for the Rays right now..

This is actually genius, safe to say every SODO restaurant should do this 🤣 At this point it feels like the Mariners are never making it.
Hit a hole-in-one. Free mattresses if the team wins. You went to an insurance company that specialized in calculating the odds. That was probably until 2006. Then it moved to Las Vegas, where ticket brokers holding inventory for one team would bet against that team to hedge. Then, by 2018, it moved to online sportsbooks. Now it's happening on prediction markets. An LA-based restaurant group put $60,000 on Kalshi before the NLCS that the Dodgers would lose to the Brewers. Why? They calculated that a Dodgers World Series run would bring in an extra $120,000. No run, $0. So they hedged. Guaranteed $60,000 either way. The Dodgers lost. The $60,000 grossed $120,000. Why an exchange and not a sportsbook? At a sportsbook, your price is locked. The only way out is a cash-out, and that number is set by the book's algorithm. On an exchange, there's thousands of competing buyers on the other side. The price moves. It's a reflection of the market, and you can take it or leave it at any point. The speculators who believed the Dodgers would win provided the liquidity the sportsbook never did. Marketplaces like Kalshi are giving businesses the exchange that prize indemnity and sportsbooks never could. Because the other side is real.

You already know the Mariners are going to be 'close' but it won't happen.
The Phillies are one of the seven teams listed by Sports Hochi as teams with interest in Teruaki Sato. He is mentioned as a right field option for the Phillies.

Junior Caminero's father drives a truck in Santo Domingo. When Cleveland signed him out of the Dominican Republic, three days before his sixteenth birthday, they gave him eighty seven thousand five hundred dollars. The kids scouts are sure about get millions. Tonight he hit the home run that is sending Tampa Bay to the World Series. Here is the whole thing. His father is named Juan. His mother Yeudy worked in physical therapy. The family lives about ten minutes from the big ballpark in Santo Domingo and they still do. He started playing at five years old and never really stopped loving it. "I've always loved the game." He played basketball too, right up until his mother told him to quit so he would not get himself hurt. He was sixteen. And here is how much this kid loved baseball. When he was a boy his parents had another baby, and he told them what to name it. So his little brother is named Girardi, after a man who was managing in the big leagues at the time. Somebody asked him later whether he had really picked it. "I told them to." Now here is the part that is easy to miss on a night like this. Nobody thought he was going to be this. He was small, and he has said so himself in plain words. "I was actually a late bloomer." A scout named Amiro Santana signed him anyway, for that money, and nobody wrote a word about it at the time. MLB.com is where he told all of that, back when he was still a prospect. Then he filled out. Last season he hit 45 home runs, one short of the most any player has ever hit in a season for this franchise. He made the final of the Home Run Derby. He went home that winter and hit the go ahead home run in the deciding game of the Dominican league final. He has a wife, Francesca, and a daughter named Valentina who was born last fall. He is still only twenty three years old. Here is what he says about having any of it in the first place. "I think everyone in this world has a gift from God." Now the honest part. He is not an underdog anymore and it would be dishonest to sell him as one. He is one of the best young hitters alive and everybody in baseball knows it. Cleveland did trade him here, and that story is on every broadcast in America tonight, so there is no need for us to tell it again. And eighty seven thousand five hundred dollars is a lot of money to most families, including his. But a truck driver's son from Santo Domingo loved this sport so much as a child that he made his parents name the baby after a manager he had watched on television. And tonight that kid hit a baseball out of the yard and sent his team to the World Series.

I am honestly down to have half a season. Less stress, let me get a 60 game season of Mariners baseball 😂
NEW: Kalshi traders forecast under a 45% chance that more than 2,425 MLB games will be played in 2027. In a standard MLB season, there are 2,430 games. $100 pays out $239.90 on Kalshi if each team plays a full 162-game season.
