The National Videogame Museum’s summer 2026 exhibition is specially curated to put personal videogame stories, and collections centre stage.
I'm excited to support this event and bring some lesser known items for the public to view!
The event runs in Sheffield, UK from 18 July.
In the late 1970s, Nintendo experimented with player competitions. The example that comes to mind was related to their Block Kuzushi Color TV-Game. But until now I never knew it did the same in the arcade, such as these awards for "Head On N", a Pacman-style clone (1979) #任天堂

Nintendo have a tradition of creating gifts for special guests when they open new facilities. Pictured is an engraved Hyakunin Isshu card set commemorating the opening of the Uji Factory (1983), just added to my collection. Also shown is an example for their Head Office (2014).

I recently got back from #gamescom2026, so many highlights but I'm really excited for this from @Studio_Evil/@Konami. I've been a fan since the NES days, with Castlevania IV on the SNES being one of my all time favourite games. Oh, and the booth design was just perfection.
