Rice, direct drilled into a standing barley crop. At @IRECNSW this year we are looking at a rice system where we flood minimally to reduce water use and associated issues for the following crop but still can be profitable per meg. Watch this space @em_ayliffe @houghton_rob50

Hand harvesting of the Yanco - Drill, DPW and Aerobic experiments is complete. Average grain yields were 12.4, 11.4 and 7.4 t/ha. Water productivity (t/ML) = DPW 5% higher and Aerobic 15% lower than Drill. Thanks Tina for the video. @AgriFuturesAU @RiceExtension
