I'm supporting the future leaders of microbiology. You can too!
I run the Future Leaders Mentoring Fellowship for @ASMicrobiology as the Subcommittee on Minority Education Chair. We are selling some pretty cool swag to raise funds to support as many people as we can in 2023. You can never have too much science attire :)customink.com/fundraising/as…

🧵A mini thread on the big news today in microbiome therapeutics...
To date, no live biotherapeutic products have been approved to go on the market as drugs.
But the FDA's Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee held a meeting today... a LONG meeting.

Today is my first day as chair of the Biology Department @UMassD . Wish me luck!
I'm with Dave and Elinne. I really like what I do, but it's not the only thing I like to do. I'll be happy to move on when the time comes, go do some other fun stuff, and let someone else take my place at work (if my place continues to exist).
